Dashfoot gazed across the camp. The apprentices were doing well with training. Maybe it's time to see how much they know. He padded to the middle of the clearing. "All apprentices who want a challenge come forward!" he mewed. He set his gaze at the cats gathering. "I have a challenge for apprentices to see how much they learned so far. You will go out in the terretory and try to surive alone without being caught by patrols." He looked down at the gathering cats

Tigerpaw walked out of the apprentice's den, coughing. She was going to join in at least one event. Raypaw was not going to stop her.

Dirtpaw clambered out of his nest and dashed across the clearing to Dashfoot. “I’ll participate!” He meowed cheerily. “It sounds really fun.” He sat down and smiled at Tigerpaw, the only other apprentice currently with them

Twigpaw went over to Dashfoot, his eyes sparkling with interest. “This sounds fun!” He meowed with a small squeak to his voice. His kit voice was starting to fade away, and he was steadying to sound more tom-like. Dashfoot would hear the difference too, and know that he was ready to do some serious challenges.

Tigerpaw coughed, looking over at Dirtpaw. She smiled. "Hi Dirtpaw," She rasped, her voice cracked, making her flinch.

Speckledpaw suppressed laughter, he almost laughed in the face of every apprentice there, a game? Another race or lesson? No, a game that was basically surprise hide-and-seek! He wasn't sure why he thought the game almost dumb, he wasn't sure why he almost laughed, perhaps it was a defense mechanism. He was afraid of being out on his own. The gray tom knew he was afraid, he hated that he was, fear was weakness, a weakness he wanted to possess from others, not himself. He did know that he should enter the event, they needed more volunteers as well as he should take part in events.
