Featherpaw's ears flicked as he heard Hawkbite charge forward, dodging the Enforcer's attack with ease. His attention diverted to Hawkbite's next action, barely dodging him. Featherpaw went under Hawkbite, attacking his underbelly. "Is this considered cheating?" he asked.

Hawkbite gasped at the attack, wincing a bit at the sharp feeling in his underbelly. He landed on the ground, empty-pawed, but a grin on his face. Whipping around quickly, Hawkbite let out a small huff. "The only rule is don't kill me," the Commander was curt, crouching down and preparing for their next move.

Featherpaw nodded, charging towards Hawkbite in an attempt to try and bite his ear. "When can this part of the assessment be considered done?" He chirruped, slashing at the enforcer's face. "And what may the next set of tasks be?"

Hawkbite easily moved out of the way of the attack, his tail lashing a bit at his question. Must he repeat himself? Did he think he could pass by simply calling it quits or growing bored of the task? "As I stated, an apprentice must pass a sparring assessment. You pass when you retreat admitting defeat or you successfully have me pinned." Admitting defeat wasn't as simple as that. Featherpaw had to be outmatched, not just give up.

Hawkbite rose to his paws, his eyes narrowed in the apprentice's direction. "Do you want to be a warrior? I expect you to fight harder than this," the Commander half-growled. "Because we can end it here if I'm boring you," he finished. His tail was still lashing behind him. Hawkbite's words were meant to evoke some anger, some type of motivation.
