wandering between life and death [p]
mind still reeling from this nights gathering incident, rookfire wasnt having the best of times trying to fall asleep. not only were his thoughts rudely stuck on both dawnstars words and mistlewhiskers scolding, but frantic throw-away ideas mingled with what might in any other case be a good time processing something less than nice happening. he was fiercely confident to change both their minds, not only through his behaviour at the next gathering but by going absolutely above and beyond for everything in his power and that train of thought absolutely despised sleep. sleep was wasting time, he wasnt gathering, learning, hunting, teaching or defending his clan and thereby doing wrong. realistically, he knew there were limits to everything and one couldnt keep going endlessly and without rest but that did in no way mean he liked it or would respect his bodys boundaries unless forced to do so.
eventually, he found sleep, unsuspecting of any other cats potentially showing up as that hadnt happened in absolutely forever, if ever in the first place, from what he could remember, it had always just been him invading other cats dreams and then these two times dead cats visited him from starclan to provide guidance and knowledge, blazingstar whom he considered a friend and the other cat he sadly couldnt remember the name of. she had been kind and it made him feel a bit guilty, to forget the name of someone who went out of their way to help him... overall, he just felt a bit on edge tonight, but didnt connect it to anything beyond his control going on behind the fog, simply wrote it off as the aftermath of the gathering incident and his restlessness.
