Cicadakit woke up warm, having somehow migrated to the middle of the giant pile of kittens that he shared a nest with during the chilly night. However, now that the summer sun had risen into the sky it was simply too hot to remain in bed. The problem was, he was almost pinned in place by his surrounding siblings. "Guys, wake up," He meowed laughing, wriggling his body to try to displace the siblings around him and free himself. "Let me outta here!"
[Hey guys, I've created a private thread for the kits to get together and play together as a giant group! If you wanna join, just pop in whenever! It might turn into a giant mess but we can figure it out as we go XD I'm gonna keep age ambiguous for now since this rp might last a while. Also, one last thing, let's not mention/quote everyone from this point onward so we don't spam the people who don't wanna participate, just keep an eye on the thread or mention those you are replying to! | Mentions / Beetlekit - @Starfall / Cricketkit - @Bean / Hornetkit - @sleepyyjax / Waspkit - @ChaosBringer. / Butterflykit - @Idiotic.Bean101 / Mantiskit - @Blossom Cry / Spiderlingkit - @Estelle / Fleakit - @Fish / Dragonflykit - @HerbalTea / Flykit - @rubberRatroom / Fireflykit - @Rowan / Mitekit - @flowsie ]

Re: Bugs at play [p]
Mantiskit was trying to sleep. Then, she felt a ball of fur by her wriggle out. Someone was talking, so she decided to get up. " Why did you wake us up?" Mantis yawned. The second she opened her eyes, a bright light hit her eyes. She turned away, where the sun wasn't facing. {Open}

Cicdakit finally struggled himself free of the warm cocoon of his siblings, letting out a triumphant squeak. He began to carefully weave through the remaining kits in the nest, most likely stepping on a few tails here and there on accident, but maybe that'd wake them up quicker.
Just as he was about down from the nest, he tripped on some stray moss and tumbled over the edge, rolling right into Dragonflykit who was peacefully sleeping on the floor. "Oof," He mewed, climbing to his paws once he realized who he'd knocked into. "Sorry, sis!" She certainly had the right idea, napping on the floor instead of in the nest where it was getting hot.
Looking around, he realized he'd successfully woken a few of his littermates in all his chaos, not that he necessarily needed that now that he'd escaped from the sweltering center of the nest.
"Sorry," He mewed to Mantiskit. "I wanted to get out, but I was stuck in the middle." He explained, then added perkily: "It is mornin' time, though!" As if she hadn't just been blinded by the sunlight filtering into the nursery.
At Butterflykit's question, he stopped for a moment to think. He had successfully escaped the nest, so what was he gonna do now. He hadn't thought that far ahead, in fact, he often didn't do so. "I don't know..." He mewed honestly, tilting his head to the side thoughtfully.
"Oh!" An idea popped suddenly into his head. "Do you guys wanna play a game? Since you're awake already and all!" He kneaded the ground in excitement, certain that at least some of his twelve littermates would wanna play with him.

Opposed to some, Spiderlingkit actually enjoyed the warmth and comfort of a large nest and many siblings to keep her all snug and warm... Until one went and stepped on the base of her tail, startling her awake with a squeak. "Who did that!"
She called out, eyes soon landing on whom assumed had to be the cause of the brief discomfort, scowling at her brother. "I'll step on your tail and see how you like it."
She stuck out her tongue after in a petty act of defiance, struggling to get out of the nest now that she too had awoken... Likely stepping on a few tails or paws herself in the process. Oops. But it was different! Shaking out her pelt, Spiderlingkit quickly gave her paw a few licks, grooming the fur along her ears down in the process - taking the chance to playfully swat at any sibling that stood close by, lopsided grin on her face. "I'll play a game with you! Bet I can beat ya at anything."
She wiggled her shoulders with a smug expression.
"A game?" Butterflykit questioned, tilting her head a bit, almost like Cicada had done when he was thinking of what to do, like she was mimicking him in a way "What kind of game?"
Well, whatever game it was, Spiderling was already sure she was gonna win.
That's fine!
She just wants to play with them!

Hornetkit
she/her
Just as Hornetkit was beginning to enjoy a nice lie in, the kit pile rumbled about suuuper uncomfortably. "Guuuyyys!!" she mewled begrudgingly, hoping they'd stop rusting about. They certainly didn't. "ugh." She cosied back down, hoping to drift off again, and soon enough, she almost did. The kit began to dream of running through the forest happily chasing squirrels - but suddenly something was chasing her, and it was after her tail! - "EEEP!" Hornetkit sprung up like a rabbit, thinking the imaginary creature really had latched onto her tail - but it was just Cicadakit. "Oh. I thought a big bad monster was coming for me..." She looked to the ground embarrassed. Well, goodbye to that nice lie in. Cicadakit wanted to play a game, and to be honest, that sounded fun! "Yea, a game sounds fun!" She chirped.
// tags to all involved but I don't wanna give u too many notifs lol
Cicadakit gave both Spiderlingkit and Hornetkit a guilty look, looking genuinely sorry for stepping on them: "Sorry about that." He had to get better at watching where he was stepping when traversing through the small army of littermates who he shared a nest with. At Spiderling's following comment, he self-consciously tucked his tail in nearer to his body, grimacing at the thought. He was thankful, though, that they shook off his mistake moments later.
The tom kit practically beamed with joy as each sibling spoke up about wanting to play a game with him. Giving each of them an appreciative grin every time one of them spoke up. Spiderlingkit, Butterflykit, Hornetkit, and Dragonflykit. Maybe even Mantis, who was curious earlier. That was a way better turn-out than he'd been expecting.
Now, all they had to do was decide on which game to play. He'd already learned that his siblings were pretty competitive: watching them fight to be the first to get their dad's attention had made that apparent. That fact alone crossed playing clan off his potential game list... they wouldn't be able to decide who to be the leaders among them. That left either just plain wrestling or mossball. With further thinking, Cicadakit figured that mossball made the most sense with the number of kits willing to play.
"What do you guys think about playing mossball?" He suggested, excited at the prospect. "We could pass it around in a circle to each other and try to keep it in the air: if it's your turn and you let it drop you're out and the last kit to not let it drop wins." He quickly thought up and explained a version that would fit a whole group playing and would make it more interesting and competitive than just tossing a ball around.
