☘︎ She had met Springkit at the previous meeting, quite the cutie she thought he was. Since she was feeling good, she decided to give the kit a little hunting lesson, hopefully to distract him from what had happened at the meeting. Arriving at the nursery, she chirped a bit as her head peaked around. “Springkit? How would you like to learn a hunting crouch?” She was straight forward with her question. It’s been a while since she taught kits.

Springkit

He had had a hard time sleeping the previous night. Yeah he had thought about the meeting and all, but he was trying to focus on other things now. Other things like becoming a warrior! The problem was that he was only 3 moons old. That was half the age he needed to be to even begin his training with a mentor. And that, in his opinion, was really sad.

But Springkit had never been anything if not one to take things into his own paws. So after Mother had left to take a little walk, Springkit had rolled up a little ball of moss like Springsight had done when they were playing in the clearing that one time and placed it in the middle of the nursery. And now he would have to sneak up on it like a real warrior would sneak up on real prey! But when he had gotten a few tail-lengths within range of his target, a head peaked into the nursery and Springkit's head popped up to see who it was. Oh Pebblesplash. He remembered her from the meeting.

'Hunting?' "Oh yes! Hunting was a perfect thing to train before becoming an apprentice! He bounded over to Pebbles and found himself actually being glad that it was specifically her who had offered to train him. At the meeting... she had sorta acted as if Springkit was too young to participate in the conversation. Or at least it felt that way and when she called him 'little one'. This had to mean that she didn't see him as just a helpless kid! Or at least he could prove to her he wasn't if she wasn't convinced.

☘︎ “Let’s go out to the clearing then! We need quite a bit of space,” Pebblesplash was eager to teach. It has been a while since she taught others, and during many of those times, she had failed those when it mattered. This was the ultimate test, not only for her, but for her mission, her goals… Pebblesplash needed to find herself again to make RiverClan better… She heads out to the clearing, hoping the kit is following her.

Springkit

Determined to both prove himself as more than just a kid and get some training in. He wanted to make sure he didn't accidentally fall behind, and there was no better way to make sure he would be a good apprentice than to learn some of the things beforehand. Whilst still being a kit, he would also have more time to practice what he learnt - maybe he could impress his mentor a bit once he got one!

Once outside, Springkit turned to stand in front of Pebblespalsh and pricked his ears in her direction, prepared to soak in whatever she would teach him. "Ok, where do I begin?"
