Daywhisper lay in camp, with Twilightstar's order to kill or chase off outsides hanging over her head she hadn't been able to see her mate in a while. It hurt, and the longer they were apart the more lonely she felt.

She sighed, slowly rising to her paws before stretching. Day's tired green gaze scanned the camp for someone to go out hunting with. Her eyes rested on a tom she didn't recognize. She quickly groomed down her pelt and cleared her throat before approaching.

The large Windclan warrior bowed her head in greeting as she approached Whiteflame as confidently as she could "Hello, who might you be? I don't think I've seen you around camp much" She said with a soft smile on her maw. She may have seen him around camp and just not noticed. She was pretty focused on training her kits and her apprentices.

Whiteflame was caught up in his mind when a Molly came up to him. "Oh hello! I'm Whiteflame." He introduced himself. What and he been doing a lot? Hosting an event, mostly warrior duties, and at the end of the day playing with kits and apprentices. "I'm mostly out hunting and if time playing with kits and apprentices. The Windclan she-cat let out a giggle "My reputation precedes me I see" She said with a purr "It's lovely to meet you Whiteflame."

She glanced towards the fresh-kill pile then back towards her clanmate "With all the new kits being born the pile always seems low, would you perhaps like to go out hunting with me?" She asked him, tilting his head curiously.

Whiteflame chuckled. She was nice. "Sure! Is there anywhere you like to go hunting?" He asked. He didn't have a favorite, all of them were okay. Maybe she did? He would like to get to know their cat a bit better. "What's your favorite food?" @seeingstars (it's fine!)

Daywhisper paused in thought, hm. She'd never really thought of it much. "I suppose anywhere near the Thunderclan border- There's usually tons of prey there" She said with a nod before he asked his next question.

She hummed softly as she contemplated his next question "Squirrels and rabbits are pretty good, though I see rabbits more often" She said, returning her gaze to him. She'd perked up noticeably as the two interacted "What about you? Do you have a favourite prey to eat? or catch even? My favourite prey to catch is definitely rabbits, they're so fast it's a great work out" She giggled, followed by a purr.

Whiteflame nodded. "Sounds good! Bet I can catch more prey than you." He joked. Thunderclan border.... They did have good prey over by there. "Yeah. Squirrels and rabbits are pretty good. I also like mice." What was his favorite prey to catch? "I like to catch anything that gives me a challenge. It's nice for something to be hard to catch." Rabbits? Those were good too. "Yeah! Rabbits are fun to catch." He had never really matched energy with any cats, either they're too gloomy or waaayyy too playful. "Should we start going? The prey might get scared and run off because of how much we're talking. This is nice though." @seeingstars

Daywhisper stuck her tongue out playfully "I think I could catch more prey with my paws tied behind my back" She teased, her hips wiggling playfully as she continued listening to him

"Mice are alright, I've always found them too small to be filling though" she said with a casual shrug. "My son likes rabbits as well! not... quite sure about my daughter though" She said, thinking out loud.

It was nice to have a cat that she didn't feel awkward, or pressured to be around. One that was also her age as well. The large Windclan warrior let out a soft sigh as she nodded "Yes- I suppose we should head out, wouldn't want it to get too late either"

Daywhisper glanced towards the camp entrance, humming softly in thought "Bet I could beat you there" She said, grinning at him, ready to take off as soon as he agreed.

Mice weren't very filling, but they tasted good. Especially juicy ones. Oh? She had kids????? Thats.. wow. He barely even had family. "You have kids? Cool!" He plastered a big grin on his face. "They both apprentices?" He asked. Beat him there? Yeah right. "I'll just show you how fast I can be." @seeingstars

The Windclan warrior nodded as she took off, assuming he'd at least be able to keep up with her pace "Yes, two, and yes, Their names are Hollypaw and Fallenpaw. They're growing into fine cats, but they're growing up all too fast" She said, glancing down sadly for a moment before turning her attention back to where they were going.

With that she picked up her pace, keeping her eye on his occasionally as they ran through the moors. She could soon smell the Thunderclan border nearing. She slowed her pace a bit, leaping from patch of grass to patch of grass, enjoying her time with this tom.

She felt her pelt grow warm and quickly averted her gaze from her clanmate. She slowed to a stop, not wanting to end up on or across the border. Daywhisper was panting lightly, though that kind of run was an almost everyday thing for her.
