Lionstar had finished up his rounds around camp, scattering and hiding a mix of pebbles and shells for a little scavenger hunt he had planned for today.
"We're going to be doing a shell search!" He informed them, tail waving excitedly. "There's a bunch of sparkling shells hidden around our camp.. your job is to find as many as you can and collect them! .. But beware, there's also a bunch of shiny stones that might catch your eye and trick you!
"This is a competition, by the way! You'll be going against your fellow kits because the four kits who gets the most shells will be becoming an apprentice!" With the exception of a few kits.. Dizzykit and Foggykit seemed a little woozy for a promotion and unfortunately for Icekit and Floodkit, he didn't want to deal with their fox-brained mother. And Primrosekit, he was almost convinced she didn't grow at all. A tiny shrimp in a sea of crabs. And he didn't want to get started on the two idiot babies.
"Join me over here if you're interested. Once it looks like everyone is accounted for, I'll tell you to start."
He wasn't sure how well this would go over.. but he hoped the kits would be interested in the promise of a promotion. Some of them had their ceremonies delayed recently and he hoped this might encourage them to be aggressive participants. He didn't really care if they fought over the shells, he just wanted to see how they'd fare in this game of seek.

To officially participate, have your kit join Lionstar's side!
I will be starting the event in the evening so people have
time to join in.
Once the event starts, you are free to do a round
of posts of your kits starting the search.
Progression in the contest will be based on a random number roll.
I will be rolling the numbers every few hours.
If your cat gets an even number, they will find a sparkling shell!
If they get an odd number, they find a pebble!
The first kit to reach ten shells--
or the highest number of shells by the time this event ends-- wins!
Out of character, everyone who participates will receive
a unique profile badge and Koins.
More rewards may be added depending on if anyone wants
to add something.
Willowkit came crashing out of the nursery eager to be first, again. Alright this task seemed a lot more fun than fighting! Willowkit could bust out a couple battle moves (taught by her absolute role model) but a hunt seemed so much more up her alley. And hey maybe Reedkit could join her! She liked Reedkit he was funny, Willowkit made a mental note to stay aware just in case he joined. Hitting the breaks hard she skidded to a stop in front of the leader whiskers twitching. (I can and will turn 'needs to be first to arrive' into a trait watch me)

With all their angry little spiteful energy, Coralkit had heaved themselves out of their nest and stumbled across the medi den. They were a few shakey steps outside of the den when they hissed. "I wa-wanna!" They were still weak, trying to regain their energy again but the wheezing was only slightly prominent. They were determined to do something instead of lazing around all day.
Splashkit tore out of the nursery at Lionstar's call. Come on Wavekit! This is gonna be funnnnnn! she squealed to her sister, skidding to a halt in front of her leader, and almost crashing into Willowkit. Oops, sorry. she squeaked, before jumping up again and bouncing in an excited circle around Lionstar. With a final squeal of excitement, she sat down and tried very hard to hold still and listen to Lionstar. @BILL. @~RooRoo~

Seakit was left behind in the nursery and he was determined to win so he could became an apprentice with Gullpaw. May I? he asked.
I don't think it would be fair Splashkit mewed. Cause we're both so good, and we would win super fast! she didn't want to be rude, but she was so good at finding things, like pretty pebbles, and cool feathers, and she had never found a shell before, but that was OK, cause she found everything else! @~RooRoo~
