[training] i don't wanna be the burden, adding up to nothing
Hollypaw • He / Him • Windclan Apprentice • 6+ Moons
Hollypaw yawned and stretched, his thorn-sharp claws gently raking against the ground. The large apprentice rose to his paws before exiting the den. He yawned once more, it was weird sleeping in the apprentice den, and he hadn't slept all that well. He somewhat missed the closeness of the nursery but would never admit that.
The white and red tom's bright green gaze scanned the clearing. From what he could see, no one was up and about, but he definitely could have missed something or someone. He padded towards the fresh-kill pile, picking up a rather plump mouse and bringing it to a peaceful spot near the pile itself.
Hollypaw quietly ate the mouse, disposing of the remains before returning to camp. Another yawn escaped his maw as he tiredly glanced around the camp once more.

Re: [training] i don't wanna be the burden, adding up to nothing
Tawnyowl yawned as she stepped out of the warriors den. She let out a big stretch before standing up right, her owl like brown eyes looked around the clearing. Everyone was asleep, suddenly her eyes landed on the fresh kill pile. Her eyes sparkled as she saw Hollypaw. Her apprentice. Standing up the she-cat walked over to the fresh kill pile. "Good morning, Hollypaw." meowed Tawnyowl. "Can't sleep?"

Hollypaw jumped, not expecting her to speak to him, or even be up yet "oh- uh Morning Tawnyowl" He said, bowing his head in a friendly greeting.
"Always been an early riser- but sleeping in the apprentice den feels so much different than being in the nursery" He admitted, turning his bright green gaze to meet Tawnyowl's, a small smile on his maw.

Tawnyowl purred at her apprentice. "Well you'll get used to it sooner or later." she smiled at him. "Now, since you and I are both up. How about we start some training? What do you say?"

"I sure hope so..." He murmured quietly, before perking up at her question "Sounds great!" He said, a small rusty purr rising from the kit's throat. Hollypaw's tail swayed gently behind him as he nodded to Tawnyowl.

Tawnyowl purred at her apprentice. Tawnyowl stood up and with a flick of her tail beckoned Hollypaw to follow. "Now I think today we are gonna do some hunting." she smiled. "Can you tell me what do you think is more important, hunting or fighting?"
Tawnyowl knew mostly all the apprentices want to usually start with battle training. Battle training is great but she knew sometimes they forget the most important thing you can do to help your clan. Which is hunting.
