The Morning meets the Duck. [P]

A small, blue-cream cat emerged into the elders den, an intent gaze sweeping around the den. There was no particular elder she was looking for, but in a way, there was. What was the elder again.. Ducktail? Duckthroat?Ugh! Morningkit felt her frustration beginning to bubble. With all that time she’s been hiding in the nursery, she’s forgotten all about the elders and didn’t know many warriors! Stupid furball. She thought bitterly
But now she was in the elders den and there was no way she was going to be able to leave without drawing attention.
Best to socialize now instead of not knowing the elders she’d be taking care of in 2 moons. The small she’s gaze sweeping across a tan cat. ”Hello!” Morningkit mewed, a look of interest in her emerald green gaze. This must be Duckthroat- or whatever their name was.

Duckthroat had been in his nest resting when he heard a small voice.He stood up and padded over “Why hello there,what brings you to tha elders den hm?” he asked kindly if had been a while since a kit had wandered in and it was a nice change of pace for him.”What is it that you kits do now adays?Mossball still?”he asked while yawning

Morningkit sat down with her tail over her paws. “I wanted to visit the elders- Plus I heard some cats talkin’ bout you - You’re… Ducktail right? Or Duckthroat- I keep forgetting.” Morningkit bowed her head in embarrassment. She hated that she had forgot- it was embarrassing, specially since it was an elder’s name she’d forgotten. Was that disrespectful?
But nonetheless, she had a reason to be here! Quickly, her embarrassment turn to interest again. “Do you have a story to tell? Perhaps about a battle?” A story would be very exciting! Maybe about the other clans. Laying down with her small paws out infront of her, Morningkit gazed up at Duckthroat, waiting for the cat’s response.

Duckthroat nodded “Yep my name is Duckthroat..ah visit the elders will that’s nice to hear it seems like all kits want to do is rush into apprenticeship” he said while looking off into the distance he looked back down “Hm a story eh about a battle I think I have one of those.. long ago back when Lionclan was still around they had man quarrels with jaguar clan[see the thing was jaguar clan had control over the river when the river had rightfully belonged to Tigerclan this lasted for several seasons when finally Mosstar had enough he ralied leopardclan into helping Tigerclan against Lionclan so they planned for several moons on how to take down Lionclan.When finally they decided to target the nursery”

Listening closely to the story, she gasped when the cat said they decided to attack the nursery. ”The nursery? But don’t they care if they hurt the kits or the queens?” She mewed fearfully, ears flat against her head. What if that happened again? Morningkit add silently. Shaking her head to clear the thought, her ears perked again and excitement returned to her gaze. ”Then what happened??”

Duckthroat nodded the kit had a point “Well you see they were having two phases one was attacking the nursery while the other was resetting the borders.They hadn’t planned on hurting the kits but more of destroying the dens”he explained hoping it made sense

Oh. Morningkit didn’t think of that… Ofcourse they were remarking borders. ”Oh.” She mewed. ”So did they get to destroy the camp? Or did some warriors stop them?” Morningkit’s tail lashed in excitement behind her as the story grew more exciting. ”I bet the warriors scented the group. Specially if they were right at their camp walls!”
