She had to start training! Of course it was to impress papa- at least before she started to train with him. She needed knowledge! And of course battle was the best…so. Off to find a good, preferably strong and feisty warrior. And she think she spotted her victim so she pranced up to the cat, head high. “You! Do you know how to fight good? Can you teach me?”

Mothflame couldn't help an amused huff when Fireflypaw - one of Spiderthroat's children, if she recalled correctly - approached her, head held high like she'd just been planning to kill a whole fox by herself. Confidence, that was good. She was impressed by the willingness of the young apprentice, narrowing her eyes thoughtfully. Fighting? Oh yes... She'd love to fight. Not the apprentice, of course, but she'd do anything to get Fireflypaw to love fighting just as much as she did.

"'Course I do, you've come to the right cat," Mothflame purred, smiling. She turned, and with a flick of her tail, led Fireflypaw to a corner of the clearing. "Follow me, I'll teach ya to be a great fighter." Hmm, where to start... Obviously, she would not begin with super complicated and intermediate lessons. Those were for older and more experienced apprentices. She'd start with some basics. Though... She was afraid she may get a little carried away.

Well…this was convenient. Sure, she hadn’t received any training prior to this but…what’s a better place to start than fighting, hm? Then she’d be strong, strong as ever. The strongest of her siblings then she could fight for her (and especially her father and Aunty Bumbles clan!) The apprentice eagerly and quickly followed MothFlame, hot on her heels. “The best fighter, right?” she questioned, Hope flooding her voice.

Mothflame nodded sharply and let out a small purr.

"The very best," she assured the young apprentice with a smile. "ThunderClan would be lucky to have such a fighter like you, but I'll need you to pay attention." She paused to flex her long, blade-like claws, though of course, she wouldn't be using them. "Alright, what do you know? You already know a few blows, or are we startin' brand new?" Mothflame assumed it was the latter, but she'd wanted to make sure.

Pay attention? She would say she wasn’t the best at that but…no, never! She could and would be the best at EVERYTHING! (Obviously, who else would be?). She nodded eagerly to the warrior, “Brand new! This is my first training eva’! Decided to start with the best!” she boasted like it was some achievement…totally.

She smiled, touching her tail briefly to the apprentice's shoulder.

"Alright. The classic front paw blow," Mothflame extended a paw forward, and with a swift motion, swung at the air. "Good for knocking smaller cats to the ground, or to buy yourself some time. A great distraction, is what it is."

"Front paw strikes and slashes, you unsheathe your claws for," the rosetted warrior unsheathed her blade-like claws and sliced at the air sharply. "Make sure you're always aiming these at the face, throat, chest, or belly for maximum damage."

"We're ThunderClan cats, we have strong legs to be able to climb. Use them. Push up on your hind legs to gain some height on your opponent. Kick. Anything works. Always go for the throat." Her voice lowered at the last sentence, dripping with venom. Her eyes narrowed for a moment before her usual pleasant expression returned. "Practise. And we'll spar after that."
