Rosehawk leapt atop of a rock that jutted up from the ground in the camp clearing beside the warriors' den.

''RiverClan, gather around!'' The dark-cream-and-white rosette warrior called out to her Clanmates, her piercing ice-blue eyes glistening. ''We have spent time training for Battle during the day, but never at night. That is why I have decided that I am going to host a night-combat training event.''

The she-cat sat back on her haunches and gave a graceful wave of her tail. ''We're all worried about one of the other three Clans attacking us and invading our camp during daylight, but never during the night, and Clans like ShadowClan are more prone to attack at night than day,'' Rosehawk explained cautiously, pawing at the stone beneath her paws in excitement. ''Yes, we know our battle moves, but we need to be able to use them during the night as well as during daylight. We won't be able to see if it's dark, so that is why I have called this event together.''

The warrior got to her paws. ''As mentioned, we won't be able to see, so we don't know who or where we are aiming for. But, there's a catch,'' Rosehawk's eyes glistened in the moonlight. ''That is why we need to know our battle moves well enough to be able to trust our instincts and make sure that if we do end up fighting at night, we know where our blows are landing.''

''Warriors and apprentices can pair with each other, but be careful,'' Rosehawk cautioned with a wave of her tail. ''I do not want any apprentices crushed under a warrior's paws, so make sure you know where you're putting your paws.''

Rosehawk called out her final directions. ''Keep your claws sheathed. Find your partners and get started!''

HOW THIS WORKS:
- Rosehawk has called together a night-combat training event.
- Warriors and Apprentices are welcome to pair with each other, but since this event takes place at night, they need to be careful where they are putting their paws.
- Warriors and Apprentices will be held responsible by Rosehawk if they injure their training partner.
- This training event is meant to be a learning experience. If Rosehawk even sees the glint of claws from a cat, she will call them out and have them step away from the fray for a few moments until they can get their act together.
- As mentioned, keep claws sheathed. Mistyshard and Berrypaw do not need unnecessary visits to their den because their Clanmates decided to injure each other, whether it was accidental or on purpose.
- Last thing: Have Fun! If RiverClan wants to be the strongest Clan in the forest, then they must earn that title. The entire purpose of this event is for RiverClan's members to sharpen up their battle skills.

Brokenstream slinked towards Rosehawk as she made her announcement, ears pricking in interest at a new type of training. This could be good. The tom glanced around, eyeing his Clanmates hopefully to see if anyone would be a willing sparring partner for him.
