The lazy morning sun cast its light over the clearing, a cool breeze paired with gentle orange warmth. It should be a promising day. Owlthroat felt time passing by him recently, the cruel warrior determined more than ever to leave a mark on Shadowclan. Determined to climb, to achieve as of late. Things were slipping away from him. He’d been brash and irresponsible in his youth, but it felt like maturing the way things currently went.

Ideas flitted into his mind, wanting desperately for recognition and to swell his ego. The kits. Shadowclan’s currently pathetic future, he’d drag them together and make warriors out of them yet. Not that he was particularly fond of the young but it was something less infuriating than the apprentices. Owlthroat could extend his pursuit of undying respect to the next generation. This was an opportunity.

The large tom rose from his haunches and caught sight of Tuftedtusk. Grumbling out to him, ”Tufty, fancy some fun?” Glimmers of scheming flashing in his yellowed eyes as he sauntered forward not waiting up for his mate.

Locking his gaze on the perfect setup for his plan, one decrepit tree stump and another raised rock not too far away from each other. Owlthroat scrambled up onto the old stump and bellowed out with a deep rasp. ”Kits, gather around if you’d like the chance to take on a real warrior”, that should do the trick. He tried not to sound too intimidating. Hoping Tuftedtusk would catch on quickly and take his place on the raised rock only a few tail lengths away.

The Rules
Kits only for this event
Please have your kit gather around and wait for Owlthroat’s instructions
Teaming is encouraged, don’t leave any kit behind!
The game will start on the 28th August
Owl/Tuft Posts every 2-3 days
Event will be wrapped up on the 16th September
Late joiners welcome

The Game
Kits must work together or alone to try to topple either Owl or Tuft from their perch
Kits shouldn’t climb onto the perches themselves but work from the ground
Be inventive! Use tools, force, cleverness and talent

The writer of my favourite post during this event will receive a full body drawing!

Muddykit flicked her ear as she watched the small group of kits gather. Her curiosity got the best of her as she padded over to the group, quietly listening to see what was going on.

The large enforcer smirked at his mates mischievous gaze and followed him, leaping onto the large rock. His eyes scanned the kittens rushing up, a purr rising into his throat. He had a soft spot for the young of the clan and they made him a much more playful and kind tom.

Gazing at Owl sideways, he grinned, purring. "I see your plan, you sneaky little viper." He rumbled, eyes glinting with challenge. "Whoever goes down first gets to clean out our nest, Owl."

Palekit

'What to do today, what to do?' Suddenly Palekit could hear a familiar voice calling in the distance. 'Who was this? Who...hmmm...it's- it's Owlthroat!' He knew it! That voice could be no other than the best warrior in ShadowClan! Palekit took leap and bounds towards the black and white tom, skidding along the way towards they stood.

"I'll take you on, Owlthroat!" Palekit ran and bump the warrior with his head, a big toothy smile could be seen on his face as he laughed and giggled. This little one had spoke big, but had absolutely no training prior. Palekit is more than willing to learn and try. So why not now? He's about to become an apprentice anyways and some early training would probably do them some good.

Beside Owlthroat was a warrior he's never seen before. Or maybe he has and forgot, but new acquaintances just means more friends. Palekit padded softly up to Tuftedtusk, and stared upwards curiously. 'Ohhhhh! He smiled! This warrior seems really friendly!'

With a bright warm voice, Palekit mewed, "Hi!!! I'm Palekit!"

Owlthroat’s blackened claw’s dug into the tree stump as a few kits gathered around him and Tuftedtusk. He nodded in agreement at his mate’s proposal and turned to give a slight smile to Palekit, the little pipsqueak he’d wound up with ghost stories a while ago. He couldn’t quite work out yet whether he liked the youngster or not but the toothy smile the kit gave him filled him with pride. It was pleasant to see the young of the clan ready to grow and learn.

”Good, now kits. It’s your job to try and knock either me or Tuftedtusk down from this stump or the rock. You can team up and try anything you like, the only rule is that you can’t climb up yourself. You must work from the ground.” His gruff voice sounded, that just about covered everything. Now he had a competition with his mate too there wasn’t a chance he was budging.

Owlthroat shifted his paws to get a solid stance, began to brace his muscles for a barrage of fluff and fury. He flashed a grin at Tuftedtusk.

”May the best kit win!”

With that he flickered his tail, a signal for them all to begin.

Dovekit watched for the signal, seeing a firm tail flick he sprang into action, looking around for something to use to knock him off, he saw a big stick, he dragged it with all his force and BAM! He pushed it up with all his force and hit owlthroat right in the chest!

The marbled tom let out a rumbling laugh as the little kitten smacked his mate with a stick right in the chest, still keeping himself braced against any kitten barage he may endure.

Still shaking with laughter, he winked at Dovekit. "If ya keep gettin' him for me, I'll give ya a Badger Ride later, kiddo." He mewed, making his eyes wide and innocent as he watched his mate for a reaction.
