The sun was gradually rising, bright golden rays reflecting in Grimrose’s eyes. It was a peaceful morning – not much chattering and nice weather after a long season of leafbare. The usually pessimistic warrior let out a small purr, though it wasn’t too obvious. She would never let anyone except for her family see her joy, or in general, her emotions. They should simply think of her as another one of those tough ShadowClanners. To hide her moment of brightness she let out a huff along with rolling her shoulders. Her muscles were slightly aching from the running she’d done across the territory yesterday. She felt the need to move around and excercise; that was a great way of getting all her pent-up energy out.

However, that didn’t mean she had a break today. Now that Silentpaw had been assigned her apprentice she needed to work hard to train the tom. She was not a slacker and she wouldn’t let him be one either. As she stood up and began walking it felt like her shoulders were being weighed down by many bricks, but she ignored the heavy feeling. Another huff of air came out of her maw when she finally arived by Silentpaw’s nest. Grimrose wondered if he lived up to his name – if that was the case they might have a few problems at the beggining because she wasn’t much of a talker either. Eh, who cared? Surely she would not fail at conversing with a young cat. Usually, quick and clear instructions made the cut for her. Not much useless, extra “crap” (at least, in her opinion, it was called that).

The spotted shecat leaned down, attempting to give Silentpaw a gentle nuzzle. “Silentpaw, it’s trainin’ time.” Her words were accompanied by a quirk of her brows. She was interested to see how her apprentice behaved.

With a small groan, Silentpaw's eyes fluttered open, and his eyes darted around for a heartbeat before landing onto the cat in front of him. Blinking, Silentpaw forced himself onto his paws and sat, giving Dimrose an uninterpretable look. It wasn't happiness, nor sadness, nor anger. It was usually very hard to tell what he was feeling, and he was fine with getting strange looks from other cats. And of course, out of pure instinct, he had acted the exact same to his new mentor.

You mouse brain! First time meeting your mentor and this is your first impression?
He cursed to himself, narrowing his eyes uncomfortably. Then his face switched to a much more content and a now readable expression. Though his face now showed slight happiness and interest, he only murmured out a single word. In fact, it wasn't even a word. Just a noise to let Dimrose know he was listening.

"Mhm."
