The Darkest World[P]

It is another shadow, lurking in his dreams, the apprentice realizes. The huge shadow seems so dark, darker than the rest of what he sees. The shadow seems to come from the deepest depths of his nightmares. The apprentice feels himself ready to attack, before a laughing sound comes out of the shadow. It's a cat, he realizes as he stays in a defensive position.

The shadow comes out, and it is a red-brown she-cat with blue eyes and black-blue patches over her shoulders and back. A warrior, Shatterpaw realizes. But the look on her face makes him want to cower, to hide, to get away from the hate in her depthless blue eyes. He knows she does not want to be here, whoever she is.

Wait, where am I?! He doesn't remember leaving the comfortable sleep pile with Frecklepaw and Bluebellpaw, so that can only mean this is a dream... No, a nightmare where he is once again going to be a victim to the whims of another.

Uh-oh... He thinks when the she-cat jumps at him.

She feels nothing other than hate for the young tom before her. He looks like the tom who ruined her life - who brought her here, in the darkest pits of the afterlife. To be the trainer of weak, ungrateful apprentices. The ShadowClanner bares her teeth as she jumps at him, only to land in a heap in the patch of dirt where he was standing. She looks around the sandy clearing, looking for her victim.

She knows it's a dream - she's only in his mind. But as long as she is here... Might as well do some damage.

Seeing the fear and shock in his eyes at the hostility of the odd she-cat in his eyes, Redwater lets out a laugh as she shakes her long, dark, dirty fur as she looks at him, into his almost colorless grey-green eyes.

"They all underestimate you, Shatterpaw. All of them." She says in a hissing voice as she creeps close to him. "Even your friends.... They don't care about you... You're nothing to them..."

Then she tilts her head back and laughs.

He glares at the she-cat, unable to take his eyes off of her lithe but dangerous body. Watching her for an attack. Then it feels as if somecat dug their claws in his heart - "Your friends don't care about you." His worst nightmare has come true.

"You're lying. They do care."

His grey-green eyes fill with something he felt only in nightmares - hate. With the hate comes adrenaline that forces him to move out of the way, far across the clearing from the hateful she-cat.

He feels no fear - she'd only enjoy that, he knows. So he just stares at her and frowns.

She is a Dark Forest warrior from ShadowClan. One of the voices in his head - the one he dubbed Eagletalon of ShadowClan - murmurs, and he feels as if the cats in his mind are twirling themselves around his mind. He can feel their tails.

She makes a tsking sound and shakes her head in disappointment. "You're different, Shatterpaw. You will always be. I know the voices - we hear them too. They're like an infection spreading through your body, young one. I was send to make your life better."

She's used to lying. Well, it's not a lie, really. She was here to make his life... A living nightmare.

A slight smile perks her lips and she starts to creep towards her.
