Before there was Wolfhive, there was Willowfreeze.
By most accounts (LOOKIN AT U MOUNTAINBUTT), Willowfreeze seemed like a solid warrior - she was dutiful and passionate about ThunderClan and her role in it. Her passion only grew when she fell into the clutches of Mountaintalon, her true love, her betrayer.
Details are fuzzy. Most are unknown. Maybe some details are forgotten, even. What is remembered: Mountaintalon was close to a girl moons ago. A girl that died. She was found in the territory with her kittens; a fox had slaughtered them all when her walk turned into a kitting. A tragic tale. No wonder Mountaintalon is cranky and protective of Shockhoney.
... But it brings the question, why would a heavily pregnant queen leave camp alone, so close to labor? Queens that far along should probably have an escort, right? Did she sneak out?
And so the search for answers begins.
Wolfhive has been spurred into exploring his past. Briarberry's death has reminded him of his lack of blood family, and that without Bumblestar... he'd pretty much have no one. So he pokes around, he doesn't know her name or her story, just that she died and a patrol collected him.
This leads into a deeper investigation, assisted by Shockhoney who's heard some odd things from her papa Mountaintalon, where Willowfreeze's death becomes more than just an accident, and Mountaintalon's terror begins to unfold.
What we need:
- Your character should be at least 30 moons old (Wolf is roughly 19 for reference.)
- They must be in ThunderClan currently, and should have been in the Clan canonically around late 2022 (20ish - 24 moons ago.) This does not require having been a member at the time, they just can't have joined canonically after late 2022.
- Ideally, at least 1-2 cats who were on the patrol that found Wolfhive (Wolfkit) with Willowfreeze's body. They would have driven off the fox that killed his siblings and buried Willowfreeze and the deceased kittens.
- Ideally, 2-3 other cats that can help put the pieces of Willowfreeze's story together. The information they offer should not directly implicate Mountaintalon as the reason for her death, but should hint that something... more sinister.. was at play than a walk gone wrong.
