Sirius, Hunter, and Duck: What Happened after Phoenix left

Sirius sulked. Phoenix left, and even though she was a weakling, she was still useful. Somehow. Now all that was left was to tell Hunter. And where was Duck? Oh right, he had sent her to gather herbs. Uh. She'd be back soon. And if she wasn't..... well, she wasn't really much more than a temporarily useful.

Hunter returned from his "hunting trip". He padded into the cave, confused as to why his sister and dad weren't there. "Where's Dad? And Phoenix?"

"He's dead? And then Phoenix betrayed us?!" he growled. He wasn suprised. His spineless sister would do exactly that. Traitor. "Those kittypets thought I was just a harmless kit! Jokes on them. I bullied them, but they refused to shut up and then I attacked them. They went crying back to their Twolegs. I would have blinded them... but in a way I felt kinda bad for them. Maybe I'm as weak as Phoenix for that. I don't know." he said.

Sirius smiled, bit kinda in a dangerous way. "Yes, our spineless sister left for Thunderclan. And no, you are not weak. Just learning. Our sister, who is now a stranger, and whose name we won't say unless it's if we are about to go and kill her, which I intend to do sometime, would have not gone and bullied the kittypets at all. But I must say, try to really hurt them next time. Now, where's Duck? I'll make her pay if she isn't back soon with those herbs...... DUCK!!!!!! GET OVER HERE!" He yelled in a voice that none dare ignore, unless they had a death wish.

"I'm coming, Sirius..." Duck pants as she starts hobbling into their little cave, the requested items in her mouth. She took a bit of time getting back, even while taking her leg into account. Many things delayed her; she had checked the Thunderclan border in search of Phoenix, and attempted and failed to snatch a piece of dead crow on the way back. Duck was cowardly, but she was experienced and clever. All scent of Thunderclan was completely gone from her pelt, and any traces weren't enough for Sirius to notice.

"I brought them." Duck repeats, her meow raspy.

Phoenix? How did he- Duck's expression freezes for a few seconds, and she sniffs the air. She was sure she removed all her scent. Did he guess? Since he already knew, she wouldn't have to pretend then, especially since he looked like he didn't really mind. Duck drops all pretense.

"Phoenix? No, no, That child left us completely, I didn't find her." Duck meows, "And yes, Sirius, I know ways to Thunderclan territory. I've been looking for it for years..." Her voice trails off, and she studies Hunter and Sirius's reactions to that sentence.

"Hmmmmm...." Sirius thought. "Keep looking for the best way when you go out. Not now, I want you here. We'd best lie low, and wait until Bumblestar has forgotten about Claw. Not likely to be soon, what with Phoenix going and buddying up with them, the little mouse-brain." Sirius spat. Then he turned to Hunter. "Hunter, why don't you go find some sort of prey? The regular sort, I mean. You know, squirrels and mice and birds? Might as well get something to eat." With some afterthought, Sirius added, "Get Duck something like a mouse, since I know she likes them. She showed good initiative today, going to follow the traitor." @forest
