Sky’s Backstory (MOON BY MOON)
Moon 0: Was born into a twoleg nest to Fawn and Thomas with siblings (Acorn and Skipper).
Moon 1: Skipper goes missing, Thomas goes missing for a day but comes back. Fawn and Thomas grieve together for their lost daughter. Sky tries to look for Skipper but his parents don’t let him.
Moon 2: Twolegs get a friendly dog named Daisy. Sky is fascinated by the stories his mother tells him about RiverClan and silently vows that he’ll be a part of the Clan one day.
Moon 3: Skipper returns, to much surprise. She explains how she’d escaped, but was taken to a ‘shelter’ and kept there until she managed to get out. Sky embraces his sister. Skipper is hostile to Daisy at first, but Sky tells her she’s harmless.
Moon 4: Acorn gets sick, Fawn and Thomas desperately try to get their twolegs to realize something is wrong with the kitten but the twolegs don’t pay attention. Acorn dies of an unknown sickness that takes him swiftly with no buildup.
Moon 5: All the cats mourn, but Sky is hit the hardest and refuses to eat. It takes the whole moon to drag him out of this stage.
Moon 6: A fire ravages the twoleg house, killing Fawn and Thomas. Sky and Skipper barely escape with their lives, and live on their own.
Moon 7: Nothing really happens this moon, besides Sky and Skipper greiving for their parents.
Moon 8: Skipper and Sky get separated on their travels, with Sky finding his sister trapped in a Twoleg nest. The Twoleg is old, sick, and crazy and doesn’t take care of her cats nor let them go. Sky manages to rescue his sister.
Moon 9: Skipper tries to convince Sky to become a kittypet with a good Twoleg, but Sky refuses. Skipper agrees that maybe they are better off on their own, and they continue their travels.
Moon 10: Skipper finds out she’s expecting kits and that she has been for a moon, and she insists that they go rescue the father from the Twoleg nest. Sky agrees reluctantly and they safely rescue Coal, the father.
Moon 11: Skipper has her kits. They are named Newt, Frog, and Rust. Sky babies them, especially Rust. But at the end of the moon, Rust shows that he’s bloodthirsty and Sky tries harder to make sure he doesn’t follow the path of a murderer.
Moon 12: Coal dies due to being hit by a monster, and Skipper grieves. Sky tries to convince himself that Rust had nothing to do with this, considering the kit was with him the whole day (he’d been watching, and never once did the tom leave his sight). But the tom was still suspicious that perhaps Rust had done something, had someone else do his dirty work.
Moon 13: Rust kills his mother, and Sky flees in terror. Sky eventually ends up at the exiled RiverClan camp.
