We Can Do Better - Camp Strengthening Event (All Welcome)

Finding out about all the chaos that had happened while he'd been sick had left Shadowfur both irritated and disappointed. The fact that a kit almost died because of negligence was unacceptable. If they were able to do one thing, it was supposed to be to protect their youth.

Hopping up on a rock, he let out a yowl. "Cats of ShadowClan! Our failure to stop a loner from getting into our camp almost cost one of our kits her life. I don't know about you, but that leaves me highly disappointed and angry. This is not something that ever should have happened, and it mustn't happen again. In order to help ensure it doesn't, I'm inviting all of you to help me strengthen this camp.

"I fully recognize that the idea of reinforcing dens and walls isn't on anyone's list of fun. But, being part of a Clan means doing whatever it takes to protect our own. By strengthening our perimeter and our most essential dens, we'll help safeguard our Clan against further intrusions and chaos."

He curled his tail around his paws while he waited to see who would show up. Stars, at least a few cats better show up for this.

OOC: This event will involve all participants splitting into three groups (possibly four if there's a high number of attendees). Each group will be tasked with strengthening the defenses of one of the following parts of the camp: the camp walls/perimeter, the nursery, and the medicine den. All cats are welcome, regardless of rank.

Please do not quote this post. Do not mention me unless your cat is directly interacting with Shadowfur or something is happening that needs his attention. Finally, please do not post more than twice between each event post. This became an issue at my last event; I'm hoping it won't become a problem again.

Froststorm could still feel the energy from the last meeting running through his fur like lightning. The announcement at the end. He needed to burn off some of that energy, and this seemed like a good place to spend it.

It had been an odd moment of tranquility for the young tom, his gray pelt enveloped in warmth as Mousepaw took a chance to sun himself. His pelt unusually clean for the day, he figured if he was going to take a sunbath, he might as well take a regular one as well. It had... not been pleasant. He suddenly understood why his mum didn't appreciate him getting covered in mud as a kit. As fun as it was - and it was super duper fun - it tasted... well, it tasted like wet dirt. Ew. No thanks. He would stay dirty next time.

Rounded ears perked up, alert despite his moment of rest, as he heard the sound of a familiar voice resounding across the camp. Instantly raising his head to view at his mentor, the heavy set apprentice beamed despite the harsh words coming from the enforcer. It was so good to see Fuzzy up and about again, yes yes yes. He had been worried with how long he'd been sick. Thought Stinky hadn't been doing his job... hmph, hmph. But he was better now, and letting no one be a lazy clanmate, oh yes.

I fully recognize that the idea of reinforcing dens and walls isn't on anyone's list of fun.

Excuse. What was that? Well... maybe cats just didn't know how to have fun. Because reinforcing dens and walls could be super fun. Getting the perfect materials, and making everything extra strong, and making sure everything was in the most perfectest of place... It was like a puzzle. An important puzzle. So that the walls and dens didn't come crashing down on you. A small shudder escaping him at that thought, Mousepaw got up, stretching himself slightly before bounding forward to join the gathering cats. He would show them a thing or three about how to have fun while dealing with busywork. Hmph hmph.
