The Caduceus Place had gotten a little crowded with the injured and displaced. Kittypets lamenting the lost of their homes and Twolegs, loners caught in the blaze, and in the middle of it all, Eaglepaw. Eaglepaw. The name irked her now. She was old enough to be a warrior, and yet still clung to the apprentice name like a burr to fur. Rushwater's training moved her slowly towards her goal of completing her training, but it hardly mattered, did it?
Ugh!! She was thinking like she did back in RiverClan. Eaglepaw had noticed that while here, she had grown softer, both physically and mentally. At first, she had railed against the idea with the fervor of a trapped animal, but eventually she realized that she actually felt... good, here. The softness in her heart had welcomed her to new experiences and made life more bearable. Growing soft physically was less great, but Rushwater had told her that she had been in a rough spot physically even without her injuries. Filling out her form was nothing to be ashamed of. So she promptly pushed it from her mind and focused on the present.
Eaglepaw groaned as she stretched in her new makeshift nest outside of Nathaniel's den. She had let cats who were more injured take the den, while she slept under a bush where its leaves kept her nice and dry. She needed to get up and move. Maybe go for a walk...? Rushwater was still recovering, and while Eaglepaw was far from fully healed, she could at least move around without too much interference. Slipping out from under her bush, Eaglepaw searched the Caduceus Place for something to do. She didn't want to leave too far in case someone needed help... but she also needed to get out of here for a little bit.

Oh what a day... A pleasantly hot one at that. It wasn't really dry nor humid, just a nice carrying breeze with the slight warmth of sunlight. The kittypet was a little while away from her home, but she knew the way back. Exploring was much more fun anyhow, and her humans wouldn't miss her too much, she'd certainly be back in time for dinner. Yet, what she saw surprised her. Or, what she smelt rather. A fire had obviously burned not to far from here, she could smell it's carrying and sour scent on some places. Coconut winced, her tail fluffing up to its fullest extent. What... Happened? How could she possibly have not noticed it? Well, she did live pretty far from here... Okay, that made up for not knowing.
The Siamese lightly padded on the ground below, lowering herself down into a crouch as she scanned the area with widened blue eyes. With her white and brown pelt, it was probably obvious that she was there, but that didn't mean she wouldn't try to be hidden. Plus, she smelt something odd. A loner perhaps? Eh, loners see everywhere. As long as they weren't entirely violent, Coconut could handle them to come extent. They were only cats after all.
Her eyes caught on an elongating pelt... Wait nope, they were just stretching. Coconut blinked hard whilst she lifted herself to brown and marbled paw pads. "Ahem, hello!" Coconut eyed the unfamiliar cat, her eyes bulging out as she realized how injured they were. "GAH! You good? Did a car run ya over? Need help? I actually don't know how to help, eh." Despite her utter shock and fear, Coconut held her gaze, her eyes widening by the second. "Uhm. I'm Coconut. You?"
[Edit - adjusted the age! Girly pop shouldn't be that old lol)

Eaglepaw looked up, hearing an unfamiliar voice before scenting a kittypet. Stars, her senses had really got to dung since the fire, huh. The acrid scent of smoke still laid over the twoleg park and stung her nostrils when she tried to breathe in too hard.
The kittypet approaching her moved easily, as if she wasn’t afraid to approach a cat she didn’t know. Eaglepaw shied back, green gaze hardening and a slight snarl tugging at the scarred remnants of her mouth. She wanted to demand the reason behind this cat’s presence, but eventually the reasonable portion of Eaglepaw’s brain kicked in and she realized that here, there was no territory. Cats came and went as they pleased and as long as everyone was friendly—or at the very least not outright hostile—anyone was welcome. So the former apprentice forced her shoulders to relax and her ears to come forward, studying the Siamese as she padded over.
Eaglepaw could tell just when the kittypet saw her injuries, because the molly shrieked in surprise before launching into asinine questions and spouting words Eaglepaw didn’t understand. The large feline stared helplessly at her, torn mouth partially open as though she could echo the words right back to the kittypet and everything would make sense. “What… is a car?” Eaglepaw found herself asking. “Run over?” She was big enough where being run over by much of anything was difficult, save for a predator. Was a “car” a predator? “Er, no-a cat did this.” She felt a little self-conscious speaking at all, knowing how she looked. The way her teeth and gums showed through the stripped flesh, the lack of fur on her muzzle and chin, the undulations of her tongue when she meowed fully visible. It was frightening for anyone, especially a kittypet who had never known the horrors of the clans.
Eaglepaw looked the newcomer up and down once she had introduced herself, trying to figure out—”… what is a coconut?” If her detective skills were of any use to her, she could place that it was perhaps a type of nut (which is funny because coconuts are not actually nuts), like the nuts squirrels ate.

Even if Coconut's eyes were widening to no clear end, she found it quite amusing that this strange cat didn't know what a car was, but they must not get around a lot so she wouldn't shame them. The kittypet merely smiled (albeit waveringly) and chuckled. "Ya really don't know much, do ya hun? Eh, it's not like it's your fault, but cars are pretty hard to not notice. They've gotta fowl smell, clear boxes and an odd shiney exterior. Also, they're pretty darn loud, haha! Nearly scared my pelt off, but they're pretty fun ta hide under." While this strangers scars were still an eyesore, Coconut was beginning to warm up to the pink flesh... Kinda. Regardless, her eyes had finally stopped widening and she found herself slightly adjusting. Come to think of it, if this cat had been hit my a car of all things, they would probably be dead. So, hearing that another cat had done such damage was believable. As horrid as it was, even loners weren't past mutilating other cats. Her blue eyes scaled the cat for a moment before her muzzle wrinkled in a wince. "Nasty fight ya must've been in. You're pretty brave fer not backing down."
Oh. What's a coconut? Huh... Well.. Coconut began to wrack her brain trying to think back to when she last saw the oddly shaped food. She couldn't think of much other than the fact that it must be similar colors as herself. But, unfortunately, she didn't really know. "Er, sorry ma'am, can't answer that one for ya." She flashed them an apologetic smile before lifting her head to stare and chatter back at a few song birds. "Lovely day out, ain't it?" Coconut was thinking about exploring a little more, maybe catch a lizard, or a bird if she was fortunate. Her blue eyes then staggered back to the strange cat before her. She blinked at them rather slowly, deep in thought.
"Say, would ya like to go on a walk with me? It could be fun, I usually don't have any cats company anyhow." While the kittypet was hoping for a yes, it certainly wasn't guaranteed. Anything could happen. Still, Coconut would certainly go on one herself. Looking at different sights was buckets of fun!
