Another apprentice. Maybe this one wouldn't be a kit murderer...or creepy. Treepaw was creepy. Lots of staring, made his fur crawl. It was like he was being watched by a crowd, from the eyes of one apprentice. His social anxiety was constantly through the roof with that one.

Tail twitching as he made his way out into the territory. Just the general heart of it for now, he'd go into more specifics once he knows how much Blazepaw knows. No point in re-learning things, it was like eating mud. First and foremost, he needed to know how good this brat was at fighting. With all these threats around the Clan, he would touch base on hunting at a later time.

He'd called the Apprentice up at the earliest sight of Dawn, the moment the sun kissed the sky he was poking his head into the Apprentice's den. Treepaw could sleep...for now. Or. No he'd drag them out for a midnight hunting and tracking session. Ah, perfectly balanced.

"Today, You're going to try and knock me off balance." he said simply. Stopping once they were in a decent opening. Exposed roots, bushes, low hanging branches. Some worse for wear. "Begin." the starting timer. He would give Blazepaw a 3 minute head start.

Blazepaw was, obviously, already aware of Spiderthroat's existence- the tom was Thunderclan's deputy. Not like Blazepaw had ever personally talked to him, especially not when Spiderthroat was waking him up first thing in the morning. Blazepaw blinked the sleep out of his eyes, making a disgruntled face he was too tired to cover up. He wasn't the type to enjoy dawn training, but it's not like Blazepaw was going to complain about it either- he didn't want Spiderthroat to get the wrong impression, that he was some apprentice who whined about all of his duties. As long as Spiderthroat had something to teach him, it'd be worthwhile enough.

So Blazepaw got out of his nest and followed his new mentor in silence, stopping at some clearing Spiderthroat deemed appropriate, for whatever reason. He was supposed to knock him off balance, as the older tom said. Was he just going to... stand there? Blazepaw almost wanted to scoff at this whole training exercise, but knocking Spiderthroat off his paws could actually be a hard task, if he didn't think about this.

The idea of Blazepaw just walking up to his new mentor and trying to push him felt stupid, so he might as well try to make it seem like organic combat. Well, he couldn't stand here all day, Blazepaw wasn't indecisive. Why not start off with a pounce?

The tom lowered himself to the ground and dashed over to Spiderthroat, a running start to getting on top of the deputy. Blazepaw didn't unsheathe his claws, that'd just get him a lecture, but dug his paws into Spiderthroat's fur rather harshly and leaned far to one side. It was obvious that if his claws were out this would rip the fur, but right now was a good way to use his weight and knock Spiderthroat over.
