Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos!

Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.

For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month.

Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting.

Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win.

If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote.

The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month.

Before you nominate, please keep these in mind.

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated to avoid inactive characters being featured.
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot be voted for the month they broke the guideline. They will be omitted from the final polling.
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed. Additionally, be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded. We want to know why you think this cat deserves attention!
• You may nominate two characters, but avoid nominating characters who have already been nominated.
• A character who has won before may be nominated only after 6 months.

Why should this character be featured?: Stempaw is an absolute gem!! His personality is so calming and friendly! Stempaw is roleplayed wonderfully and I hope to see him grow

Why should this character be featured? ; tansy is such a fun character to read ! my silly little anxious kitty <3 but seriously, silver plays her so well and she is a joy to interact with. also, for being thrown into med cat position so fast, she learns well and is very very good at her job !! love ya tansy n silver !! /p

Why should this character be featured?: It's a crime that Spring hasn't won yet! She's so 3 dimensional and intricately written it's so fun to see her being so active around the Clan, and she's been a HUGE help to Birdsnow and Larkstar, which is greaat. She's feisty and caring and brave, a good role model for what a RiverClan cat should be. She's also a Lionheart, which is super slay since she's so young, and I'm so, so excited to see where she goes and how she continues to develop!

Why should this character be featured?: In my opinion, one of the most interesting and active characters of ThunderClan (in a clan of active and interesting characters and i'm a litttttle biased). Fierce, loyal, intelligent and dedicated, he's the perfect father, perfect warrior and perfect husband LOL. Lioncrest is a picture of a good warrior, and at this point, I just don't think ThunderClan would be the same without him!

Why should this character be featured?: A dedicated warrior and completely loyal to WindClan, Hawkfur is a wonderful and complex character. He strives to do his best for his Clan and always puts them first. From being disciplined on patrols to a voice of reason amongst fighting, he shines as one of the Clan's exceptional warriors. Mica does a fantastic job portraying him and making him an enjoyable and engaging character. I can't wait to see where he goes next!

Why should this character be featured?: A one-of-a-kind character if I've ever seen one. Quick with the retorts and walking to the beat of her own drum, Violetfreckle has confidence and charisma down pat. She is humorous and quite a spunky cat, and velli does a lovely job of making her easy to root for. Reading her rivalry-turned-??? with Bumblestar is such a joy to read, bringing both the laughter and tears. I eagerly await to see what's next for her!

Why should this character be featured?: A long drawn plot of a fall from grace is finally reaching its conclusion this month and I think we are ALL feeling emotions over it. Ive never seen windclans clearing so lively or so many cats jumping in to form deep opinions of their own over a matter that effects the entire clan. It is masterfully done and the discord is wailing with every cow post that comes and breaks our heart, even as it riles our characters. Even if this plot wraps up early this month and brings cow with it I think we all can agree he was a character for the ages.

Why should this character be featured?: Featherpaw is such a dynamic character with a fascinating origin story that makes me want to learn more! She is sweet and enthusiastic and feels so real, which is super impressive! Elliot plays her wonderfully and I always look forward to seeing the training posts for her.

Why should this character be featured?: Does it count since the WindClan event happened in December? Doesn't matter; if you take one look at Cowtuft's posts in that event, you can see what an in-depth, complex character he is. His desire to do good thwarted by circumstance and his own hubris created a fascinating tragic hero story that captivated the entire clearing, making it the most active I've seen since I got here!

Why should this character be featured?: Arrrgggh I love this girl so much Despite all her flaws, she is still such a kind and loving gal. Ravenswings is such a creative writer, putting in all Silent's disabilities which makes her quite a relatable character. Also her and Hootflicker are really adorable together!

Why should this character be featured?: Ripplepelt is an amazingly sweet character but can be tough on characters when they need it. She is so willing to teach to other cats who will listen and is a pleasure to rp with.

Why should this character be featured?: Reading roleplays from Birdsnow's perspective always sucks me back into her story. It's so well roleplayed and I really enjoy whenever seeing her growth throughout her span of Roleplays... it just really does make me want to jump right in and join a Roleplay myself. Birdsnow's story honestly sometimes feels like its worthy of an actual book. The Deputy of RiverClan deserves, almost more than anyone, the place in the Monthly Kudos as the first of January 2024!
