I can't seem to figure out the avatars, so I read what it said when you clicked on help and I'm still lost... I would stay without an avatar but then everyone thinks I'm new and I get tired of explaining that no, I just can't figure out these avatars XD

Find the picture you like, right click on it and open image in new tab, the copy link. Make sure it ends in .PNG .jpg or .gif if it does, it should work unless it's too long.
