I'm not going to start at the very begining because I want to get to the story part of it , so yeah.

first things first, gender and description. then we start.

Flamepaw an orange tabby tom with white paws and hazel eyes.

"Flamepaw! Flamepaw! Flamepaw!" Flamepaw is about ready to burst with pride. He has just become an apprentice and He is so excited to finally start training. His new mentor, Acorndust, approaches him after the ceremony.
"Hello," she says quietly, and he bounces up in excitement.
"Hi Acorndust!! what are we going to do first? Hunting? border patrol? Fighting skills?" he asks, one question spilling out of his mouth after the other, his words tumbling over themselves in his enthusiasm.
Acorndust sighs. "Remind me again why I decided to let Lightningstar give me an apprentice," she mutters to herself, then to Flamepaw she says, "We won't be doing any of that today." Flamepaw deflates.
"Today we'll be going over the territory," she continues hurriedly as Flamepaw opens his mouth to complain, "Every apprentice needs to know their territory first, before they can start training. that way, they won't get lost if they're on their own." He grumbles, but then brightens. Just slightly. At least it's not picking ticks off of the elders or anything.
"Alright then, " he says, "Where are we going?"
"Well I thought I'd let you decide," Acorndust says, "Where would you like to go?"
