It was getting really cold out. It wasn't too bad in his den, but when the medicine cat went to look at the other dens - specifically the woven ones - it was much colder. So, he had an idea. The brown tripod hobbled his way over to the middle of the clearing, and cleared his voice before calling out. "THUNDERCLAN, LISTEN UP!" Wolfpaw said. He stood their briefly, letting cats gather around him first. "It's gettin cold, and the woven dens are a lot colder then the non-woven ones. So, we're gonna head out, get some moss or whatever else can help, and patch up the dens and line the nests so its a bit warmer. All able-bodied warriors and apprentices can join, queens and kits, yer staying here," Wolfpaw explained. He would wait a bit for cats to gather around before leading them out of camp.

HOW THIS WORKS
With the temperature dropping in the clans, everything is getting colder. To prepare, wolfpaw is taking all able-bodied warriors and apprentices to gather moss and stuff to help patch up the woven dens so they won't be as cold.

Once they go out and collect stuff for the dens, cats will be split up into groups to work on specific dens. They are the following:
-The Elder's den
-The Warriors den
-The Apprentice den
-The Nursery

Once it is all done and over with, the following dens should be a bit warmer then they were before !!

Next post is on the 21st or 22nd, maybe earlier.

Mothflame padded towards Wolfpaw at his call, more than ready to gather as much moss as she could to help make the dens more tolerable. From the distance, she spotted Slypaw, and she padded up towards the young apprentice and briefly touched her muzzle to his head, and a light tap to his shoulder with her tail to indicate she was here.

Milkbee padded up with a wide smile, and a light trot in her steps. Ooh! Moss! And herbs! Ahh, her inner kit was coming out, and she couldn't help but get excited! She sat down, a stupidly large grin plastered to her face.

Oh, how she wished it was warm again. Despite her long and thick fur, Hiddenpaw didn't quite do well with the cold. So no doubt she was in for gathering moss and herbs to make the dens a bit more suitable. She slowly walked over, head held low as she tried to blend in with the ground below, which proved worthless.

Damn right it was cold! While Duckfrond might have been plush, he was still considerably less insulated than many of his clanmates. The warrior's den was full of cats to keep heat together, but Duckfrond could imagine what it was like in less populated dens! The warrior padded up to the few cats gathered around Wolfpaw, the tom rolling his shoulders in preparation for the work. Something productive to waste his excess energy on? Perfect!
