Iris had been traveling for a couple days now, and she found herself in an entirely new place. Having stopped to hunt and eat to keep her strength and energy up. Her ears pricked up and swiveled to the sound of a voice. Who was that? Forgetting entirely about hunting, she promptly padded towards the voice, just to see another cat there. She tilted her head slightly as she surveyed the stranger, taking a quick second to decide whether it was worth the risk. His last sentence seemed to convince her though, after all being too cautious was just boring, and she dipped her head in a greeting as she came closer.
“Well hello, my name is Iris, what might yours be?” She asked the tom, golden eyes flicking past him to look at his dwelling.

Merlin looked cheerful.

Iris smiled, deciding that Merlin was a pretty nice cat. “Nice to meet you too.” She replied, starting to remember what she had been doing before she heard Merlin’s voice and got curious. “You wouldn’t happen to know if there’s a good place to hunt around here would you? I’ve been traveling for awhile and I’m a bit hungry.” She said sheepishly, shifting her weight a bit as she looked around.

"I raided one of the human houses for food if you want some." Merlin offered.

Iris perked up and she gave Merlin a grateful smile. “Really? You don’t mind sharing?” She asked. Some of the loners she had come across during her travels usually didn’t share, which was understandable given it was usually food that they had gotten from hunting and she wouldn’t be to keen on sharing hard earned prey either.

Iris gave Merlin a grateful look as he reassured her that it was fine if she ate some. "Thank you, would you mind showing me where you stashed it?" She asked, looking around bit not seeing any food. She assumed it was probably in his den, but he hadn't invited her in and she didn't want to rude, not after he was so graciously sharing his food with her.

Merlin led the way cheerfully and with a clearly positive mood. Soon they found the MASSIVE storage of food that had been sorted into its different types.
