The Willow Tree surrounded by Nightshade

Willowtail streched, her abnormally long tail stretching out behind her. Willowtail had just gotten done visiting her sister, the medicine cat apprentice Berrypaw. Once she finished her luxiiourius stretch, the grey and ginger she-cat padded over to a sunny spot. Laying down and letting her small body soak up the sun. Willowtail heard her stomach rumble embarrassingly loud and looked around, hopefully nobody heard!

The tom slowly walked over to the spot. The sun hit just right there. His black coat taking on a more brown appearance in the sun. Then he saw the she-cat. He then heard the rumble. Nightshadepelt smiled, "Well hi there!" He was trying to be friendly. Make small talk.. What should he talk about? Should he ask if she is hungry? Nightshadepelt decided to ask, "Hey are you hungry? I can go fetch you something real quick.."

He sat there like an idiot, maybe it wasn't the best idea to ask about the stomach rumble. It might embarrass her! Well now he feels bad.

She was often mistaken for an apprentice which always made her roll her pretty and wide blue eyes. Willowtail looked at Nightshadepelt, in her mind saying, He's handsome, and kind... cute.

He stalked towards a calm stream, easiest way to catch prey, at least for him. "Willowtail, yeah?" He sat there in thought, panicking as he tried to figure out what to say. His mind had blanked. "..Oh! I remember, isn't Berrypaw your sister? She seems super sweet." He tried to make small talk. It was boring small talk, but he was unsure what to talk about.

Willowtail stood up, following the Tom. She internally winced, being the size of an apprentice wasn't easy. Her head just barely over his shoulder as she padded beside Nightshade, hearing her name she gave a gentle purr. "Yep! And your Nightshadepelt right?" Willowtail mused, her wide blue eyes shining. "Yeah, Berrypaw is my sister, she's very sweet. Poor thing doesn't know how to be mean." She teased, flicking her long grey tail upwards. Willowtail's pelt twitched against a light breeze, the sudden sun revealing brown streaks in her pelt, compliments her brownish grey paws and ears. Willowtail blinked at the medicine den for a moment. Maybe...maybe that was a good thing that Berrypaw wasn't mean? But.... when it came to feeding cats herbs whether they refused it or not, or even argumentive or physical retaliation or self defense... Wiillowtail blinked, and Berrypaw's mentor stepping down and being pregnant. Poor Berrypaw.. Willowtail shook out her pelt lightly, shaking away the negative thoughts and pushing them to the back of her mind. "So!" Willowtail meowed cheerily, "Uhm... hows.. being a warrior going? Sense were both new warriors."

Nightshadepelt eyed the water, he crouched low. He mewed, "Quite well, how about you?" He felt like an idiot, but he really had nothing to chat about.

...He watched a ripple in the water. One.. two.. three.. His paw swiped into the water, grabbing the fish with his claws! He pulled the fish out and set it onto land. A quick bite to the neck and that was that.

Wiillowtail boasted, puffing out her chest, her eyes glittering in a cute way. Wiillowtail watched the Tom, sitting back so her shadow stayed off of the water. Willowtail watched the tom as he caught the fish, secretly admiring his muscles as he grabbed the fish. Willowtail sat watching, her long tail flicking behind her and her blue hues glittering adorably.

Willowtail purred gently, "Thank you" Willowtail smiled, trying to ignore the small feeling of butterflies she got. Why does a simple compliment make me so happy? She thought, shaking her pelt gently, "Your an amazing hunter... this fish looks good." Willowtail purred, taking a small bite and offering the next bite to him.
