Snapjaw padded into camp, her eyes dull and tired. She hadn't slept well since the loss of the rest of her family, which was bad in the sense that she had duties to take care of, and on top of that, had just been assigned her first apprentice.

She felt like she was a candle, lit at both ends, and it was only a matter of time before eventually the she-cat was burnt out. She took a deep breath, trying to ground and center herself, but was struggling.

Thoughts of how it should have been her and not her sister, or none of them if she was being completely honest. The battle felt petty and pointless now, especially with the loss it caused. The Riverclan she-cat's gaze locked onto her paws as more and more thoughts swirled in her mind.

If Snap hadn't suggested hunting along that border would any of this have happened? Would Cedar still be here? Would her brother have run away still? Would her whole family have been torn apart if she'd just decided to hunt somewhere else?

The mostly white she took notice of snapjaw, It wasn't really her place to worry, But the small she tends to worry about the clan a lot, including the cats in it. The cat was pretty big. But even the big fellows need comfort occasionally. Then she makes it her duty to help the other. She pads over to Snapjaw with a soft smile " Hey there, you look quite down." she spoke as she approached she offered a soft smile to the fellow warrior.

The She's light grey paws dig in the dirt as if trying to ground herself, she's a very anxious lady. Her yellow gaze flickers to the ground below at her paws as well before looking back at the other warrior. She wasn't one to pry but it still bothered her seeing a cat so down in the dumps. Not in a bad way but made her wanna help.

She looks away after studying the cat for a moment and results back to looking at the ground. " May I ask what's wrong?" She mews.

Snapjaw glanced up from the ground to the shorter she-cat. Her hazel eyes narrowed as she scanned her clanmate slowly. She'd seen this cat around a couple of times, though Snap was never around much so she had never had any time to speak to her.

hey there, you look quite down yeah. Probably. She thought to herself, still looking down at Lilyglide through narrowed eyes. After a quiet pause, she let out a soft sigh. She glanced down at her paws once more, being cold to this cat wouldn't fix anything, she seemed to be showing genuine concern. It was sort of sweet actually, and unbeknownst to Snapjaw, very much needed.

The riverclan warrior took a breath before speaking "I lost my sister in a battle with rogues a couple of moons back... We were ambushed by rogues, when she got knocked out then thrown into the river-" She choked on her word, forcing her to stop. Damn it! you will NOT cry.

She breathed in deeply through her nose, exhaling through her teeth as she tried to ground and calm herself. After she'd calmed down enough to speak properly "I never found her and I haven't... really... known what to do with myself other than burying myself in my duties" she said, her gaze remained fixed to the same spot on the ground.
