Mistlewhisker stretched languidly from her spot in the corner of camp. Greenleaf was a nice time of the year, even if the burning sun warmed her pelt too much and made her irritable. Perhaps getting out into the shady territory would be nice. But she needed someone to go with her... Mistlewhisker glanced around camp, spotting a familiar, small cat and padding over to her. "Sleepysunrise." Dawnstar's granddaughter, Darkfall--The Specter, her mind reminded her--and Lostspark's daughter. One of the newest Enforcers, and a promising one at that. Mistlewhisker hardly knew the cat, but she figured that if Sleepysunrise was going to continue to be an Enforcer, Mistlewhisker supposed she should get to know her more. "Come, I wish to take a walk and need someone to accompany me."

It would be an understatement to say that Sleepysunrise was staring. Staring ever so intently into the light above her head - the sun - obstructed only slightly by the foliage around camp, little speckles dancing within her vision when a voice rung at her side and her gaze was pulled away to face a now spotted-looking Mistlewhisker, asking her to go on... A walk? That was new. Very new indeed, and the youngest enforcer couldn't help but wonder what Mistlewhisker meant by a walk. What her motive was, if anything. Were they investigating something patrolling the territory and borders, training? She blinked, and nodded despite herself, joining the deputy's side. Still, the proposal was odd, to her, at least.
"..Patrolling?"
She asked quietly, a wild guess from what could most likely be described as a 'walk'.

Mistlewhisker actually smiled a little, padding out of camp with the Enforcer at her heels. Finally, someone got it. That was something she liked about this cat. Sleepysunrise was as committed to her duties as Mistlewhisker was. While some cats might say their committment reached a rather obsessive level, Mistlewhisker disagreed. "Precisely." She meowed. "There has been a lull in murders and attacks, and I intend to keep it that way. As much as I prefer patrolling on my own, I recognize that having another cat by my side opens more avenues than not." In case she had to send for help or fight a battle.

As the pair traveled deeper into the territory, the shadows deepened into a near constant twilight. Mistlewhisker leapt over logs and stones, taking a long route over a ridge and through a thick grove of trees. Birds and frogs fought for dominance of the air waves, bugs zipping to give their opinions before flitting away. It was peaceful. The air was cool with evening and the moisture of the mars. Everything seemed in sorts as they traveled, so Mistlewhisker slowed to a leisurely pace.
