Notice: Auctions.

Hello there WCO Community,

Our team has noticed an influx of cross-platform auctions which are being held in both Chat Box and our official Discord server. After discussion, staff has determined that these are not fair towards many members of our community as it is harder to track and can give members advantages over another if one is unaware of bids taking place elsewhere.

Due to a recent uptick of such activity, WCO staff have decided to update our Community Guidelines to include the following:

• Auctions should only be hosted in the Auction Arena or the Auctions channel in the official Discord, and the same auction should not be ran on both platforms concurrently. If you wish to host an auction visible on both platforms, create a thread in Auction Arena and link it in the Auctions channel but do not run the auction in the Discord; it should be within the thread only. Once a bid has been placed, an auction cannot be retracted and must be seen-to completion. You can read more about Auctions here.

Staff is giving the community a one-week grace period after this notice is released, [ August 2nd to August 9th ] before action is taken on these types of auctions. If you see any activity similar or doing cross-platform auctions, report it immediately and our team will handle it.
