Birdpaw stretched over the edge of the apprentice's den, mouth parting in a wide yawn. Her amber eyes blinked sleepily, the late-evening sunshine painting the entire clearing a nice orange. Birdpaw leapt down from the hollow, padding over to the prey pile and picking a small mouse for herself. Everyone had settled down for the evening, and she was ready for dinner and then some sleep. She'd had a long day of training with Mistlewhisker, and was feeling rather proud of herself!! She'd be a warrior any day now--all she needed was someone to do her assessment. But who would she ask...

Eveningpaw had had a rather boring but busy day. Their mentor had yet to train them, and they were not going to let that get in their way of training. Having asked around other warriors for some extra training, Eveningpaw had learned quite a lot. More that what their mentor could have taught them. They should be getting ready to rest up for the day, to have another day of training the next day. They padded over to the prey pile, and spotted another apprentice already there. She looked a few moons older than Eveningpaw. Which means she probably knew a whole lot than they did. Eveningpaw reminded themself that they might need to do some extra training with another apprentice someday.

Confidently, Eveningpaw trotted over, their tail held high and ears perked.

"Hello!" They chirped, standing not too far from the apprentice. "I'm Eveningpaw. And I'm a recently apprenticed apprentice!" Recently apprenticed apprentice... Did that make sense?
Eveningpaw made sure to flash the cat a friendly smile.

Birdpaw looked up at the newcomer, her grey and black face perking up into a bright smile at the opportunity to make a new friend. A new apprentice, hm? "Hi Eveningpaw! I'm Birdpaw. Congratulations on becoming an apprentice." The striped feline pushed her half-eaten mouse in the younger's direction. "Here!" Her amber eyes glittered cheerily. "How are you liking being an apprentice so far? Who's your mentor? Are they fun?" Birdpaw hadn't been too Present during the last meeting or two, but she was hoping to correct that!
