Daywhisper sat in camp, it was one of the rare times where she actually got some time to herself. She sat there, eyes closed tightly, soaking in the last sun before the harsh leafbare. A warm purr rose from her throat as the world seemed to fade away from her.

The sounds of the clan existing around her only brought comfort. It felt like a huge family and she loved every single one of the cats here. She could not think of even one cat that she didn't like. It was great!

Mama! Fallenpaw cried, lifting her tiny head to meet her mother's bright green gaze. Whatya doin? She purred, pressing against her warm flank. She shivered. This would be her first ever leaf bare.

Daywhisper jumped as Fallenpaw called out for her. Her fur puffed up a bit before she realized it was just Fallen. She let out a soft sigh, grooming her fur flat before greeting her daughter with a friendly smile "Hello Fallen- oh! I was just resting for a bit"

That was clearly over now though, she gave the young apprentice an affection nudge with her nose before straightening up "How about you? Has your mentor been keeping you busy?" She asked softly, tilting her head curiously.

Fallenpaw sighed. No. I've asked Twighlightstar for a new one. She grumped. I'm the only apprentice left in camp, and its so boring! She complained.

Daywhisper frowned, she didn't like hearing that her kits just weren't being trained. A frustrated sigh escaped her maw "Oh Falls, I'm so sorry they haven't been doing their job. If I didn't already have Applepaw and Ashpaw on my paws, i'd just officially take you on as my apprentice" She said, grumbling the last part, mostly to herself

"For the time being I could take you out if you'd like? We could do borders then some more hunting... I could teach you how to hunt rabbits... or if you'd like we could find your brother and do some combat practice" She listed off a few more activities they could do that would count towards her training still.

Fallenpaw hesitated. She didn't particularly like the idea of hunting, and embarrassing herself. But she didn't want to train with Hollypaw, who was much bigger than her, either. Oh StarClan! She just wanted to make her mother proud! Whatever you want. She meowed.

She hummed in thought "Well- we could go for a walk? get a little girl time in while also learning our borders" She said with a smile "After that, if you're feeling up to it, we can do that rabbit hunting thing, I have a feeling that you'll get it on the first try this time dear" She said with a purr, beaming down at her daughter. She was aware of how boring 'girls time' sounded, but she was a mom, it was her job to be uncool.

She could tell something was on her kit's mind, but couldn't put her paw on what so decided to let it go. She figured if Fallenpaw had worries or anything she'd at the very least come to talk to her... at least she hoped she would. Was she even that close with either of her kits anymore? definitely not Hollypaw... but she'd thought her relationship with Fallenpaw was still solid... was she wrong about that though?

Fallenpaw rolled her eyes. Lets go! She purred, racing ahead of her mother. Come'on you slow fur ball! She yowled, her eyes lit with joy.

Daywhisper nodded enthusiastically before dramatically gasping "hey! that's not nice" She said with a giggle, darting after Fallenpaw, her tail waving excitedly behind her as she ran along.

The mostly white warrior did her best to control her speed, occasionally popping into the lead, only to fake being overtaken by her.

They were having so much fun, Daywhisper almost lead them across the first border, which if not careful would lead to a fall into the river itself. The Windclan warrior skidded to a halt right before the cliff's edge. Her toes hung slightly over the edge when she finally came to a full stop.

She quickly turned her gaze to Fallenpaw, ready to immediately catch her if she was unable to slow down in time. She was running on fear and adrenaline right now, scared to lose one of her two precious kits.

Fallenpaw's eyes widened as she neared the rivers edge. She pulled her paws up, trying her best to stop, but knocked into her mother.
