On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
HAWKBLAZE
As the brawny tom let his paws carry him through the Outskirts, his gaze crested the hill, looking down towards the clan territories. There still hadn't been any sign of his son, no matter how far he and his companion searched.
His amber eyes sparkled at the sight of home. It had been many, many moons... He let out a sigh and turned to glance over his shoulder at Leopardfire.
"We're almost home," he purred, tail tip flicking.

Leopardfire purred as they padded threw the outskirts his company was amazing to her. She enjoyed being out besides just being in the moors of home. Once they seen home however she was totally ready to be home and train an apprentice or two. She had hoped to help him find his son on the journey but so far they had no luck at all.
"Yes we are almost home... I missed being in these moors..." She looked at the field it seemed normal but something felt a miss to the spotted molly. She padded up to him and stood next to him looking at their camp and home.

Re: On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
HAWKBLAZE
The stocky tabby gently laid his tail tip on the shoulder of his friend. Sincerity sparkled in his amber gaze as he looked at Leopardfire.
"Even though we didn't find Rainshock, I appreciate your help immensely. A journey like this on my own... I doubt I would have made it back," he said, a slight sadness in his voice at the mention of his son. It seemed like he truly had no family left, so his friends were his only real connections. He let out a gentle sigh and turned his eyes back to the moors. Would Twilightstar be mad that he had left? Would he be welcome back? Would both of them?
As he went to take a step down the hill, a scent crossed his nose. It wasn't Windclan, but it definitely smelled like a clan cat. Hawkblaze parted his jaws and drew the scent across his tongue. Yes, he was certain now, there was another cat nearby somewhere.
"Do you smell that, Leopardfire?"

Leopardfire sniffed the air after stepping down the hill and after his tail tip had rested on her shoulder for a moment or two. "Your welcome, the adventure was pretty amazing. I do not think I would have made it back all the way either without your help. And that is what we do for ones we care about." Leopardfire looked at him and smiled as she had seen the sincerity in his eyes and she thought { Leopardfire you rabbit brain he probably doesn't like you that way.. and you just said that.. why would you of all.....}
Her thought was cut off after she heard him ask her if she smelled what he smelled. She sniffed the air smelling the moors and smelling a scent that was of a clan but she couldnt tell which clan it was but knew it was a clan cat none the less and her pelt still layed flat "Yeah I do smell that..." She paused for a moment looking at him and then looking at the direction that the smell was coming from. She stood by Hawkblaze and looked at the direction and said "Alright, we know you are here come on out. We will not hurt you but would like to know what you are doing here." She waits a response from the cat before she says anything else.

Re: On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
Peace. That was all he ever wanted in life. With peace typically came happiness, and that was a feeling he's missed for a very long time. Struggling with his feelings was something he had grown used to. Did he want to enact revenge on those who wronged him? Or did he want to be bigger than that, let karma take its course? Those were all questions he'd been asking himself ever since he was forced into exile.
Less and less he had been wondering about what life would have been like if he was in RiverClan. Among those who would treat him like the family he always needed. That thought was of the past, and here he was: living by himself, albeit struggling with the hole that had formed in his heart.
"I'm here not by choice. Not by my own will. I've been wandering the outskirts aimlessly..." A broad response, not exactly an answer. But he did not entirely trust the two cats who stood before him. "I've been living in exile, away from the good-for-nothing Thunder-rats who've betrayed me over and over again."
He spat the word, then stared at the other tom. What are you doing out here... Clanner? "You. You're a WindClanner, aren't you? I saw you at the Gathering over twelve moons ago, mid leaf-fall." He looked at the she-cat accompanying the possible WindClanner and walked a step closer. "I can only assume you're from WindClan too? What are two Clanners doing out here?"

"We are on the moors of windclan and yes we are windclaners." She mews looking at him "names leopardfirw." She mews looking at crow and then looks to hawkblaze. They had been out together searching for his kid but would hawk know who this cat is and should leopard recognize him. She thought. When he mentioned ThunderClan she thought about it.

Re: On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
HAWKBLAZE
Hawkblaze tilted his head as a young cat appeared from the underbrush. Recognition flashed in his amber eyes as he looked over the young tom.
"Yes, I remember you. Crowpaw, wasn't it? Or have you received a warrior name now?" He inquired as he took a seat, wrapping his tail around his paws. This was certainly a development. He looked to Leopardfire as she made her introduction and then returned his gaze to the cat before them.
"As my companion stated, we are Windclan. I am Hawkblaze. You said you've been living in exile? What brings you all the way out here, on the outskirts of Windclan? Are you looking for a new home?"
Truthfully he felt for the young cat. It was hard to live on your own after growing accustomed to the comforts of clan life. Especially such a young cat.

Leopardfire felt a little bad for being a bit rude and followed Hawkblaze's lead and sat listening to the young Crowpaw's story.... She never liked anyone hardly from any of the clans because they hardly talked to her at all even during gatherings. She sat there listening silently and attentively hoping thaat the young tom would forgive her for being a bit rude.

Re: On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
"I was supposed to receive my name, but... my former mentor decided to betray what little trust I had in her. I didn't get a chance to explain myself before being exiled." He nearly spat the words out of his mouth, the venomous words wanted to spill out, but he held them back. He wanted to talk like a normal cat before going off on why he was even near WindClan in the first place.
"As much as I wanted to stay near ThunderClan for the sake of keeping my promise to my dead sister... about never leaving her, I couldn't bring myself to stare at that filthy, pathetic excuse of a Clan. Not when I constantly thought about all the betrayal I faced in my time there. They've wronged me more times than I can count, and I know I won't be welcome in or around RiverClan, like I thought I would be at first. Bumblestar's not the type to let someone go without putting dust in the wound. A final blow, as you might say."
"Being near ShadowClan just gives me the creeps, so that leaves WindClan as my only other option to be in a Clan. If they'll have me, that is. They'll probably know me as Thrushkit-- named after my revolting father for lying. But lying was not my intention, I admit I was being an idiot. Saying my vow even though I planned to leave ThunderClan the next morning. I just had to swear I'd serve ThunderClan for as long as I was able to physically do so... and me being so... so focused on reunited with my youngest and only surviving sister... I lied. Said 'I do' even though I didn't... plan on serving ThunderClan." Demotion, being compared to the only cat he hates more than ThunderClan itself, and being exiled on top of it was a heavy burden to carry on his shoulders. It would break him beyond repair at some point, probably, but Crow wanted to get out of his father's shadow before that happened.
"I swear that was the only lie I've ever spoken. And even so, I was exiled for betraying them once. When they betrayed me more times than toes I've got. Fair, am I right?" Crow rolled his eyes, sarcasm dripping from his tone. "Forgive my bitterness, I just don't have the best history with ThunderClan." It was ironic, really. You'd think Crow, a tom who was born and raised in ThunderClan, would have all the loyalty in the world only for the Clan he grew up in. But that was simply not the case. How could he, when all he's gotten back in return for his kindness was destruction?
"I can understand... if you don't want me to tag along to WindClan-- I'm assuming that's where you're going, Hawkblaze, Leopardfire. No one wants me around... not even my only sibling that I protected from my rotten father when he decided to abandon us." He could understand where Bluepaw was coming from though. She had no knowledge of what happened while she was gone, not even how much it tore him apart. The apprentice couldn't even bring herself to touch him after what Bumblestar said. All she saw in him was their father, just like everyone else. He, too, was beginning to see Thrushstar in any reflection he saw of himself. But he didn't want to...
No longer was he the broken kid who needed guidance. He was the enemy he never wanted to be to the cats he wanted to care about his whole life. And quite frankly, he didn't even know if what he did was redeemable in Bluepaw's eyes. Not if her mentor was none other than one of the cats that refused to give him a chance after he screwed up. Not if her mentor was ThunderClan's 'grand' leader that exiled him. I wasn't even... in a romantic relationship with Sweetsong. Redhawk pulled that out of her ass. And that was simply unforgivable. In his eyes, she manipulated his truth into a lie with what little information she had. Using the information she had on his friend as a means to force Bumblestar's paw and exile him in front of a sister he never got the chance to know was a new low. And that was why he was so angry with her-- he'll forever remain that angry with her too. How could he even move past something like that?
Granted, he didn't know how to move past any heartbreak in his life, but from what he knew of others, Crow found it downright impossible for even the most normal of cats to find that forgivable and forgettable. Not to mention Redhawk thought that Sweetsong wasn't even real, though she didn't know what she looked like. Sweetsong was the type to attend Gatherings, so they could've been at at least one Gathering together. At the very least, could have heard each other's names after they became warriors.
A tear fell from the corner of his eye, but Crow quickly brushed it away with a paw. He didn't want to appear weak in front of two WindClanners, especially when he wanted to at least get a chance to join them. Ugh, even if he did tag along with the two strangers, would Twilightstar's decision be affected by whatever crap Bumblestar spewed out of that mouth of hers? "Before I even... consider going with you two-- like I said before, if you'll have me-- I want to know something. Is... Is Twilightstar easily persuaded by another Clan leader's words? Because whatever crap she may have heard Bumblestar say, it isn't true. I want her to hear my side of the story if that's possible."

Re: On the Wings of a Dream... [Private]
HAWKBLAZE
Hawkblaze's eyes widened as the young tom recounted his story. An incredulous expression came over him.
They threw you out over one thing? That's not even that severe?
Shaking his head in disgust, he fixed his amber eyes on Crow.
"Twilightstar has never been one to be easily swayed by the words of outsiders. She's a cat who needs evidence, thorough evidence, before she would make a decision such as that, and she does not make decisions like that lightly..." he trailed off, thinking back to how the leader had executed his sorry excuse of a father after finding out about his heinous crimes. With a flash of a grin, Hawkblaze stood and padded to the young cat, gently laying his tail tip on Crow's shoulder.
"Tell you what, dude. You can come back to Windclan with us. I'll vouch for you. We'll meet with her and you can stay with me and Leopardfire," he purred before looking to his companion for her assent.
