LOCATIONS

Leader’s Den-A cave hidden in rocks under bushes, with a paw-made painting of the Caracal inside.
Medicine Cat Den-One rocky cave cave with a wall of stones inside to store herbs.
Warriors Den-Hidden under dry bushes and small trees.
Apprentices Den-Identical to Warrior’s den.
Nursery-Made from bushes and stones
Elder’s Den-Almost identical to Nursery
Clearing-An open area surrounded by trees and dry bushes.
The Tree of Many-The huge acacia tree in the middle of camp where meetings are held under
The Watering Hole-Half of this place is claimed by SunClan, but the water has to be watched for Crocodiles
The Pool of Stars-Where SunClan meets with StarClan
The Graveyard of Giants-An area with dead plants and lots of bones.
The Fallen Sky Monster-The giant fallen monster from the sky where gatherings are held between the two clans.

Rabbitwhisker bustled around the camp, clearing twigs and leaves so the clearing would be, well, clear.

The warrior glanced at the fresh-kill pile. Hmm, she wondered, should I go hunting? I should go hunting.

She didn't necessarily want to go without permission — in case she was needed elsewhere — so Rabbitwhisker trotted on over to Witheredstar's den.

"I'm going to go hunting!" the bobtailed warrior chirped brightly. "I'll be back soon!" She listened for a response, hoping she wasn't interrupting her leader from something.

Witheredstar stood up and stepped out "You can go, but at the moment I wouldn't recommend going alone." She answered "The hyenas are... common, at the moment." She could almost hear their laughter after the few recent close calls with clanmates.

Rabbitwhisker shuddered, recalling the awful creatures. "Yeh, I don't think I want to go alone." The warrior leaned back her hind legs and looked around the camp. She looked back to Witheredstar.

"Uh, no one else seems to be up . . . Would you like to come? If you're not busy, of course," she added, a little hurriedly. Rabbitwhisker just didn't want Witheredstar to think that she thought the leader didn't have better things to be doing.

Witheredstar looked around at the camp with her eyes for a moment “Of course.” She said “We cannot risk losing prey to those things.” Witheredstar had clear disdain for the wretched creatures, and they had been also taking necessary prey, making the drywinds more agonizing for every cat.

With a bounce, Rabbitwhisker was on her paws. She trotted to the the camp entrance, flicking her short tail. I wonder if we'll seen any of those . . . things while we're out, the warrior thought.

They were SunClan; they could drive those hyenas out! And she wouldn't need to worry at all, with her leader by her side.

Rabbitwhisker headed out into the territory with Witheredstar.

Witheredstar walked out of the camp with Rabbitwhisker. It was a lot more dangerous out here than inside the camp, so they would have to keep an eye out. After looking around, Witheredstar looked at Rabbitwhisker "Where would you like to hunt?" She asked. She would let her clanmate make the decision.

Oh, she hadn't expected to be the one choosing. Rabbitwhisker hurriedly thought of where they might go. Where had been the least hyena sightings? Or, should they go somewhere with . . . more hyena sightings? Surely not.

Rabbitwhisker realized she was kneading the ground nervously as she thought. She stopped herself, lifting a paw and shaking it. "Well, how— how about over near the Watering Hole?" the brown warrior suggested. Rabbitwhisker flicked on ear; she hadn't meant to stammer.

Witheredstar nodded "Good choice." She said "With the drywinds, smaller prey will be making their attempts at getting more water." The dilute tortoiseshell found it interesting how prey behaved when desperate, risking being trampled just for a drink of water. She then nodded for Rabbitwhisker to lead the way. Witheredstar had this common habit of testing how good warriors were at leading patrols that was barely noticable, only realized once your told to lead the way.

When Witheredstar nodded to Rabbitwhisker, indicating the she-cat take the lead, she got the sense she might be getting tested. Rabbitwhisker straightened and squared her shoulders. If she was being tested, then she would try to prove to her leader that she was a fit and able warrior.

So, she did take the lead, headed in the direction of the Watering Hole, tasting the air every now and again to check for prey nearby. She resisted the urge to fall back and let Whitheredstar take charge.
