Verdant green hues fixated on the Apprentices Den across camp. His mind wandered to Kestrelpaw's training. With a faint sigh, a neutral sigh mind you, he allowed his thoughts to flourish over in the training aisle of his mental grocery store. Defense? Check. Hunting? Check. Territory Tour? Mmm.... not check. Soon, though. But after the 3v1 he had begipun thinking more about KesStress's fighting abilities. Well, she could defend herself alright. If only she would stop gallavanting away during training, he would be certain. A smile, then a headshake. Alright, next on the grocery list- real fighting. Standing and stretching, the red-brown spotted feline shook out his short fur briefly, scaring off the wretched horsefly hovering over his shoulders. He directed his steps toward the apprentices den, where Kes was probably snoozing. And she was. So was Pinepaw. But Pinepaw was not his apprentice. He was just his tick of sorts. He was still slightly smiling as he nudged the mottled kiddo. 7 moons. They grow up so very slow. In his opinion anyway. "Up n At 'em, Kestrelpaw. We're going training. Not defense or hunting, real fighting training." He mewed briskly.

Sproutfleck has only to call her name before Kestrelpaw is wide awake. Battle training lesson day thingy number two!!! WOOOO!!! Kestrelpaw was going to punch someone after learning this! The giddy apprentice was bolting out of her nest and past her mentor before he could even finish his sentence. "Let's go! Come on! You can't be old and slow right now! MR. FLECK!" She yelled over her shoulder as she beelined for the camp exit.

Oh! Stars, there she went. Sigh. 22 moons is now old and slow, he supposed. Okay, he wasn't THAT slow. The Spotted tomcat let out a little huff of amusement, shaking his head and smiling, before making a beeline toward the exit of camp. "You don't even know where we're going yet!" He hollered after the molly, breaking into a trot and catching up with her. No time for Discipline, she wanted to go go go today. He wasnt the fastest of runners and was usually more of a force kinda guy instead of a speed demon. "Okay, Kes.. we're going somewhere.. new today.." He said with a slight pant as he kept his trotting pace, eyeing Kestrelpaw. "We'll be headed to Sunkissed... Creek. I doubt.. any predators.. are there.. a patrol came by.. earlier.. and nothing was there." Pant. Pant. Well, if she wanted to run, bet, he can run too! "Consider... this a warmup. Follow me, we... can run there..!" A playful grin broke out on his muzzle, and after a moment he picked Up speed and began running through the territory, but slowed down a bit when he remembered Kes might not be able to keep up. She was only 7 moons. Verdant hues still flicked about as he scanned the territory for Predators.

"I don't caaaaaaaaaareeeeeeeeeee!!!" Kestrelpaw called shrilly over her shoulder as she raced ahead of her mentor, bounding and crashing through the undergrowth, probably getting stray leaves and twigs in her fur. She only sped up when Sproutfleck said they were going to race to someplace called Sunkissed Creek. "Hahaha! I'm gonna win!" The hyper apprentice (yes, she had woken up on the too-right side of the bed) screeched.
Honestly, she didn't even know where they were going, but she'd just taken off in the general direction her mentor had been going, and she could still hear him behind her, so... she must be going in the right direction, yeah?
Peering back at her mentor (after slowing down for him, duh, cuz he was old and cranky [that made her wonder why he wasn't in the elder's den yet {she was getting off track again, she needed to focus}]), Kestrelpaw blinked numerous times. "Why don't you have a family?" She asked bluntly, suddenly remembering families were a thing. Wasn't he old? And old equaled having someone at your side and kittens by now, right?
