In addition to learning herbs, Hollowpaw supposed that his job now would also be to check in on his patients. Which... ok, so he got the reason why in theory, but it just seemed like such a waste. If there was a problem, the sick or inured cat could just, like, yell for him or something. Why was it his responsibility to make sure the idiots weren't pushing more than they should or that they were properly resting or, like... doing whatever recovery things they had to do (he had no clue what those could be. Clueless. Entirely clueless).

So he finds himself shuffling his feet as he decides what he should do in this situation. Pinepaw recently passed out at the meeting and was in the medicine den because of it and Hollowpaw, as ThunderClan's medicine cat apprentice, was most likely obligated to make sure he was doing alright. Annoying how that all worked. Ugh, fine, okay, he'll go check on the apprentice.

"Hey," he says as he walks over to the nest Pinepaw was resting on, tone a little abrasive, "so, like... you passed out for a reason that I don't particularly care about and was probably entirely your own fault and now I gotta make sure you don't up and die so like... how's that going for you?" Seemed like it was going pretty well so far. Unless Pinepaw decided to die in the next three seconds and make Hollow feel like a moron.

Pinepaw blinked open his eyes, looking up at the voice he heard. Why was there a kit talking to him? In the medicine den? Wait... this was Hollowpaw. An apprentice, but kit-aged. He stretched, getting up. He wasn't weak, it was just his anxiety that had made him pass out. But he did think that laying down was a pretty good idea. So he laid back down.

But the main question was... who was the new medicine cat? It had to be someone old enough and capable enough... maybe Hollowpaw was just helping. "I know you said you don't care why I passed out, but it wasnothing more than anxiety. I really hate when Clanmates fight each other, even if it's just a scuffle. Spars are fine, because, training. Just after I saw so many Clanmates executed in front of me after attacking each other..." he trailed off.

"Anyways, what happened during the meeting while I was passed out? New warriors? Was... Kestrelpaw made a warrior?" If she was, then he'd be crushing on a warrior. A 9 moon old warrior... but that's still a warrior.

So, he missed the whole end of the meeting then, did he? Pity that he had to find out all about the new details from Hollowpaw, but it is what it is.

"She did," he answers with a nod, unsure why Pinepaw had specifically asked after Shockhoney and no one else, but he wasn't going to read into that too much - he'd likely arrive at the wrong conclusion, anyway. "Her 'n Morningpaw both got their names; Shockhoney and Flamesurge." He pauses for a moment to watch Pinepaw's expression, head canted to the side to better observe.

"Other than that," Hollowpaw continues after a moment, "Beetlepaw got a camp confinement as punishment, though she ignored that and went out into the territory with Fleckpaw and managed to get herself hurt, so she's already been demoted to Thornkit. And me 'n Wolfpaw were named the clan's new medicine cats," there's a hint of pride in Hollowpaw's tone as he says that, but it quickly morphs into something a little more bossy when he delivers the next news.

"Bumblestar says no other clan is to know about me, though, and we're just supposed to go on actin' like Wolfpaw's the only medicine cat we got. I'm playing as a warrior apprentice to anyone but ThunderClan, so don't go blabbing at the next gathering." He finishes with a pointed, accusatory glare - not that it's actually warranted at all, Pinepaw's done nothing to make Hollow suspect he'd go yapping to anyone he could, but it wasn't in Hollowpaw's nature to be very forgiving.
