**Elmshadow**

A crispness fell over the clearing as the shadows grew longer and the sun dipped behind the towering pine trees of the Shadowclan territory. The dark tom stalked through the clearing. His day had already been a long one as he took up some extra patrolling to make up for the excessive amount that had been neglected recently to then have run into Dawnstar at the border. After their conversation he resolved to try something new to get the clan active again.

He jumped easily to a lower ledge beneath the Shadowledge. He took a moment looking over the camp, noticing the lack of activity even now. His clanmates were too unreliable. This would serve as a test to distinguish those who could follow through and those who could not. He projected his voice calmly out over the clearing, "All warriors and apprentices, gather around! We're going on a hike."

[This will be a multiple stage event that will last until April 2(or right around then). I will post every couple of days with a new prompt (i.e. find a certain kind of prey, etc). You are not required to participate, however there may be rewards for completing it and if you sign up but stop before the end then there will be punishments]

the white warrior's ears pricked up, a hike?- Well, I wouldn't mind that.. if it was leafbare WhiteRose would have thought the opposite. They padded over to the shadowledge and sat down, waiting for ElmShadow to lead the gathered cats for their hike.

~ Owlfeather ~

The large tabby had already settled in her nest, when Elmshadow's call rung from outside, and knowing what was to come, he rose up and padded outside. They had talked about this hike with Dawnstar, and while she had had a long day, this was still something she felt the need to participate in. It was important she still showed her activity around the clan after all, combined the possibility of spotting someone suitable for the news ranks was enough to convince even the tired part of her.


~ Nettlepaw ~

She had already had minor trouble falling asleep tonight, and it wasn't helped by the noise from outside. But unlike the previous rumble that she had managed to ignore, this voice instead made her ears prick up as they heard what there was to say. Oh, a hike? She quickly poked her head outside to check was what going on, and when seeing her aunt among the cats who gathered, she chose to join in as well.

Morningflower wasn't interested, they're body was still tired from fighting ThunderClan, they did follow Dawnstar, but sometimes disagreed with her opinions

Oh.. webfoot.. the cunning Dawnstar-lover who loved to fight and kill.. he was particularly excited about the hike after all..

[Skycloud]

Crowblaze padded over. Elmshadow seemed to be the second cat that had caught Dawnstar's attention, along with Owlfeather. He gave Owl a small nod as he spotted her in the crowd. Judging from their hunting trip, she was quite a reasonable cat. His gaze moved over to the event leader once again. Crowblaze bunched his muscles as he prepared for the hike.

Badgerscar decided to join the event because he was bored.

Strikefur looked around. It was strange, how much bigger he was than most cats, and the size of his claws.....it would make even the bravest thunderclan warriors tremble, but enough of that. he looked around with his amber eyes, easily able to see over most anyone. He spotted the other warrior nearby.....what was his name? Ah yes, crowblaze,"Hello Crowblaze." He rumbled. He didn't know the other cat very well, but wished to make friends in shadowclan

Oak’Paw bounced up to the warrior, a hike? That would be so cool! Yes he definitely going! His first event as an apprentice! His tail held high in excitement as he sat, ready to go for this hike.
He should probably talk to another apprentice, make some friends, but who would be a good choice?

**Sunsetpaw**

The golden apprentice padded over the clearing, stopping among the cats gatherimg beneath her father. She'd had a few good meals since her return and, while it had done nothing for her fragile appearance, the freshkill had begun to return some of her strength. The first few days she couldn't drink enough water to disspell the thirst but that was thankfully past as well. Elmshadow wanted a hike, then let's do it. She wasn't sure how long she'd be able to trek through the forest but she was a kit of Elmshadow and Goldenstep, quit wasn't in her blood.
