Claw, who now called himself Storm, was minding his own business. Now, what to do. He'd avoid eating cats for a while. But what about a replacement for him when he actually died? Storm pondered this. Not like there where too many he'd trust for that. He went into a garden, to look for mice, not knowing that a fierce loner protected this area.

Everest sniffed the air, and a horrible stench of cats' guts filled her nose. She rounded the corner, finding a larger and older cat was walking closer to her. Hey, you! She yowled. Get outta here! She snarled.
Hmm. That took guts. "Hello. Are there good mice here?" how dumb, but it would do. "I'm Storm." he was not fazed by this cat's anger. He had dealt with worse, and survived.
Everest was now curious. Who're they? She asked, taking a step closer. And what's your name? This was some things she needed to know.
"I'm Storm... and my adopted kits, you wouldn't know them. But I can't go near them, otherwise I put them in danger, because another cat tried to hurt me, and I wasn't even doing anything wrong. I have scars, too." He showed her the scars circling his neck.
