Moonraven - Batglare
So upon the increase in raptors, Leechscar was eager to hunt some. The bigger the better. However, going alone wasn't the brightest and Leechscar wasn't cocky enough to assume he could do this alone, so why not bring the old man. As soon as he found the slightly larger brown-white fury, Leechscar grinned and made his way out of camp heading for Windy Hills.
He was eager to rip something apart and needed anything to take his mind off his mother and sister. Both were not in the greatest places and Leechscar was at a standstill on what to do about it. They weren't allowed to challenge RiverClan yet and Leechscar couldn't take his anger out on the minks that blinded his sister, so raptor hunting was the best next thing.
Leechscar's always been a great hunter, finding it easy to catch anything he got his paws on. Birds were his favorite, the fact that they flew made hunting them difficult but the challenge was worth it. He could only imagine catching something like a vulture. As he led the way to the Windy Hills, he lowered himself into some long grass as he saw one of the giant birds eating something.
Their beaks looked gnarly and their talons on their feet.... whoa! He glanced over his shoulder, making sure Batglare was there.
"There are more flying above, I doubt they'll attack but watch my back, please." He added the plea to ensure Batglare didn't think he was ordering him around.
Once he checked to ensure the wind wouldn't give him away, he moved, slowly itching toward the huge bird's back. The closer he got the bigger it appeared. It'd be harder to catch this thing if it weren't distracted by food. Once close enough, he sprang onto the vulture's back. The vulture gave a violent jerk and Leechscar nearly fell off its back. His claws were able to hook into mostly bone and feathers. Leechscar felt its wings extend, but he lunged forward delivering a killing bite to the skinny neck.
It went down pretty easily, to his surprise. Hunting these things wasn't all that different from hunting the small birds, he could use the same techniques. He lifted his head, muscle tense as he noticed the raptors in the sky descending at an alarming rate. Leechscar swiftly ran back to Batglare, lowering himself beside the tom with fascination in his greens.
"They eat their own?"
