Moonscratch Training [P]

[OOC: I have my own tracker for Scratchpaw that is through a different program than WCO, the only thing I don't plan to keep up with is post count as I can't know all of the plots and rps you are in with him. For actual training, this is my first time having a character mentor so if I should add more to this thread then let me know. I figured starting with boundary tours would be a good start and then assessing Scratchpaw's current abilities as Moonmeadow was told nothing about him and his past.

Takes place maybe after the meeting? Or the next dayish? It's kind of vague on purpose, wanted to see if it matters to you :] That's all, sorry for rambling <33]

The feline gave a smile to the young tom and tilted her head a tad as she thought over where to begin in the apprentice's training. Territory tours for sure, they would need to wait until the mink issues have been cleared and Dawnstar lifted the ban on the Whispering Wetlands but they had plenty of territory to cover in the meantime. After the boundary tours, as those were the most important, maybe they would have time to assess Scratchpaw's knowledge. The kiddo was previously a loner so Moonmeadow wanted to have a clear understanding of his current knowledge so they could figure out what needs work first. Generally, Moonmeadow would like to go over hunting, especially night hunting, first as that was one of the most important skills that a warrior can have. As much as her fellow clanmates seemed fixated on fighting, without hunting they wouldn't be able to sustain their clan in the first place.

With a sway of their tail, Moonmeadow spoke with a light tone as they found him, "Alright kiddo, I think we should do a tour of our boundaries and then, if we have time, do an assessment of your current abilities. Did ya' have anything in particular you wanted to cover sooner rather than later?" As the words left their bi-colored muzzle, Moonmeadow began to lightly guide the apprentice over to the camp's exit and aiming to head to the territory boundary for Thunderclan first and foremost given current hostilities, Herondive Hollow.

Then as an after thought the giant feline added on, "Ah! How about a bit of 'get to know you' kind of game? I don't just want to be some cat that happens to boss you around." Moonmeadow's eyes wrinkled as the feline broke into a wide smile with a small chuckle. She knew that the little tom was likely nervous, it didn't help that they were a more intimidating cat, size-wise that was. Maybe getting to know Moonmeadow would make Scratchpaw see them less as a 'cat in charge' and more of his fellow clanmate. They hoped that Scratchpaw was getting along well with his fellow apprentices, making some new friends, but he was still new so they weren't sure. Maybe Moonmeadow can talk to some of the other new mentors and have some joint training to help with Scratchpaw's integration into Shadowclan.
