Shadepaw has just became an apprentice.

Shadepaw will push herself to be the best apprentice she can possibly be, being hard on herself if she fails. She wants to be noticed by her mother, Clovepool, to excel in her training. If she feels her mentor isn't doing a good enough job, she'd show hostility towards her mentor at first, maybe even going to the lengths to ask for a new one.

It would be cool to have warriors she could train with other than her mentor, as well.

Part of being the best apprentice is joining the Dark Forest. She will start having dreams, and her dark forest mentor will teach her new battle moves, tactics, and anything else they see fit to teach her. She is naturally ambitious, but her Dark Forest mentor will urge her to be more.

Maybe she could work with multiple Dark Forest cats?

Shadepaw has a mother, Clovepool, and a brother, Silentpaw. Clovepool is manipulative, favoring Shadepaw over Silentpaw, though it doesn't feel like it to Shadepaw. Shadepaw wants to prove to Clovepool that she is a great warrior, and to earn Clovepool's love. Clovepool also wants this, her legacy in the clan to be important, and she pressures Shadepaw into stuff, while completely ignoring Silentpaw. This could be excellent leverage for your dark forest cat.

If, in the first meeting, the dark forest cat tells her that they're from Starclan, she might believe it at first, but she's too clever for it to stay that way. She wont really care, believing it to be an opportunity.
