Grey ears perking up at the sound of a now routine summons for herb patrol, the small grey molly visibly brightened up a bit as she scurried over and paid rapt attention to Springlight's request. Hmmmm... All herbs she hadn't found before; but that just meant her task was going to be a bit more fun and challenging. Giving the younger molly a quick nod of her head, Mistheart stepped back and awaited the arrival of the two apprentices she was to escort on their patrol.

Paws-crossed they'd be on time and ready to head out without delay.

The brown tabby apprentice was surprised to hear their name. Their first patrol! It was a herb patrol, not a border or hunting one, but still a patrol. Copperpaw bounded up to the cats and lifted their chin. [B]"Okay I'm ready!" they meowed flicking their tail in greeting. They eyed the two cats that they'd really didn't know.

Drizzlecloud has been just sitting outside of the medicine den as she watched Springlight call for patrols. When the molly gestured for her to come closer, she realized that she would be on one too, and she trilled at the realization before she stood and padded over. Upon arrival she playfully flicked Springlight over the shoulder with her fluffy tail, offering her a smile and a simple nod of thanks for the visual gestures that she had given her. Now, to wait for her patrol mates.

To be honest, Orangeblossom wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention to the happenings of the clearing until he picked out his name being said. Not just by anyone though, Orangeblossom turned his green eyed gaze towards the medicine cat that seems keen on sticking around since their chance encounter. Not that Orangeblossom minded, he didn’t at all, he found himself enjoying Springlight’s company quite a bit even though they have only had a couple of interactions so far. Though, to his slight disappointment, the warrior realized that it wasn’t really to like…hang out or chat or something but rather him being assigned to a patrol that didn’t even have her on it. Welp, he didn’t mind that much in the end. He could talk to Springlight later…if she wanted of course. He wouldn’t make her or anything but given she sought him out at the meeting he didn’t think she like…didn’t like him or something. He shook his head to clear it, his floppy ears standing right for once until they flipped back to their regular stance. He listened in, Drizzlecloud and Skunkstrike, he honestly didn’t know the pair well but that just meant that he could make new friends!

The ball of sunshine bounced over to the medicine cat as he noticed her gathering already. As he paused by Springlight he gave her a smile and playfully called out, “Am I that bad at herb patrols to be put with a medicine cat.” He knew that Springlight didn’t mean it like that but he couldn’t help but tease a bit, it was all in good fun after all. He slowed to a stop as he came up to Drizzlecloud. He waved to the feline with a paw, “Heya Drizzlecloud, how are you?” He made sure to emphasize the words and slow down from his usual rapid fire pace of speaking. “Chamomile, marigold, and cobwebs sound simple enough for an expert like you! I may need some help though, just in case.” Orangeblossom wanted to do his best to help Springlight and Drizzlecloud. His mind flashed to the night that he and Springlight had their first of many encounters. Maybe if he finds as much as possible Springlight would feel better.

Well! It seemed like she had two enthusiastic patrolmates for this excursion! Letting a crooked smile crack across her muzzle, Mistheart dipped her head in greeting to the two apprentices that arrived, before flicking her tail towards the camp entrance.

"I'm uh--I'm Mistheart. Good to meet both of you," she hummed, eyes sparkling in amusement before she turned to lead the younger cats out into the forest. "Let's try and find as many of these herbs as we can today. Maybe... Maybe we can make it a competition!"

Tail twitching behind her in excitement at her idea, the small grey warrior skittered out through the entrance with a little more spring in her step than usual.

Her eye widened at her name, and she recognized the voice calling. So with a giddy bounce in her step, Skunkstrike padded up to Springlight and nodded, "Can do, Springlight! Say, do you have a favorite flower, perchance? No reason, just asking!" She beamed goofily at the young medicine cat before looking around to see Drizzlecloud and Orangeblossom were waiting on her. "Oh! Sorry friends! Didn't mean to keep ya waiting, let's go!"

With a chuckle the big black and white warrior started for the camp's entrance, with marigold on the mind.

the most super awesome cat to ever be super awesome had been called for a patrol, and they were going to absolutely annihilate any problem that came their way. solo it, one might say. the moment spring-newname had begun to speak, shrikepaw turned towards them, listening to the string of names that fell from her mouth. it didn’t so much matter if their name was mentioned, so long as their nerd siblings weren’t. shrikepaw was going to be the first one to go on a patrol, no way would they lose something luck based! they had worked hard to constantly stand in the way of every important cat in the hopes of being summoned, and it looked as if their work had finally played off. mwahaha!

bouncing excitedly towards springlight, they turned to look for dragonflycliff and eggbite, moving towards the latter as the medicine cat continued speaking. sorrel, sticks, and moss. no problem! soft green leaves, many stems. yep, they had that in the bag !! watch and learn, losers !! first time out of camp and it was going to be super duper cool. heck yeah!

“ready!” they grinned at eggbite, eager to go.

Hearing the call of patrols, Woodpaw emerged from the Apprentice Den and went to Springlight. His ears perked up as he waited for his name to be called. Hearing that he was to go out with another apprentice named Wildpaw, he gave a faint smile and went towards Bumblestar. Looking up at the leader, he dipped his head slightly in respect.
