Silverclaw stopped and scented the air. Squirrel. "Go get it. But if it goes up a tree, don't go after it. I don't want you injuring yourself." Silverclaw mewed quietly.

He nodded and crept silently towards it. He pounced and surprisingly caught it. He picked it up and presented it to his mentor.

Valleypaw was ready this time and ducked under the swipe, using her momentum to roll herself away from her opponent and then hop quickly back up to her paws. She blinked, almost surprised she'd gotten it on the first try - though mostly just smug. As she'd thought, she was already good at this fighting thing. That had been a simple one, though - she didn't quite realize yet how complicated these techniques could get. "Like that?" She asked, looking just as smug as she felt.

Silverclaw smiled. "Great job. Let's head back to camp. I'll carry the mouse and the squirrel, you carry the rabbit." She meowed. She picked up the mouse and the squirrel and she started padding back to camp.

Silverclaw looked behind her and saw Swiftpaw all sad. Silverclaw stopped walking and sat down. She set down the mouse and the squirrel. "What's wrong Swiftpaw?" Silverclaw meowed. She patted the space next to her with her tail, signaling for Swiftpaw to sit beside her. She didn't know if she needed to interrupt their work so she could talk to Swiftpaw but one look at him told her it was worth it.
