He can't even stick to one topic... Whatever, a lesson is a lesson even if it's from... him. She keeps saying that, hpw long until she actually believes it? Calmly, Wrenpaw stalks over to the water's edge and dips her paw into it. It's warm, but not unpleasantly so.
"I thought we were going to do some fishing, not swimming," she says mildly as she slides into the warm water, paws churning to keep herself afloat even as she knows the depth is not so much that she could drown. "I know how to swim just fine," she protests even as she briefly looses ground and struggles again to keep her head above the water level, teeth gritting in concentration and embarrassment. It was one slip up. "I'll even swim a lap and show you!" She insists, and begins doing just that, cutting through the middle of the spring and to the other side then back again.
"See?" She asks challengingly coming back to Waterworm's side again. "Easy."
"Oh, woah! Not bad, not bad!" Waterworm cheers as the apprentice does a lap around the springs. Not bad!! She's pretty good!! "Nice, nice!! You get lessons already, yeah, yeah? Good on you!! Good, good, good. Now! Fishin'! C'mon, c'mon let's get goin to the territory and do some fishin!!" Waterworm springs out of the water and shakes himself dry, stretching in the warm sunlight. "Let's go, let's go!!"
ahh im just gonna finish this up cuz river's not gonna be alive soon
Riverwhisper blinked. "I think we got enough prey," he said. "Let's head back to camp." he didn't know what to do or say, so he beckoned for the toms to follow and turned back.

(if ya don't mind doing quick posts to wrap this up then we can report the patrol!)
The next to arrive was Orchidpaw! Ah, she doesn't..look too happy about it. Er...maybe they were quite lucky they found patrols fun after all. Well if the patrol gets lucky it shouldn't take too long. And then Troutstone arrived. Phew, that means they're all here now! That's good! Now the patrol could finally set off. "Right" The said, nodding to Troutstone's words. They started moving their paws again, following next to their mentor. Would they be able to catch any birds like last time? Or maybe something else
It wasn't really that long until the patrol crosses over the bridge. The apprentice should most likely split up so the patrol gets more range. They weren't sure about Orchidpaw, but that's up to her... And..maybe also Troutstone
About time the leader of their patrol arrived. Orchidpaw was cross. Why did she have to go on patrol with these randos?! Keeping her distance, she followed the two out of camp. Now, as much as she'd hate to admit it, and she wouldn't, she was a very unsuitable option for this patrol since she hadn't been taught how to hunt. But she wouldn't look like an idiot and ask one of them for a hunting lesson right? No way!
As soon as they arrived, Orchid stomped of on her own, deciding she would teach herself how to hunt. How hard could it be? Padded warily over the run down bridge, the charcoal tabby point was alerted of a bird a few fox-lengths away. Bingo. Disappearing into the shadows, she stalked closer to the bird, being careful not to make sound. Exploding from her invisible cloak, the apprentice leapt at the bird which started to take off in a flurry of feathers. It wasn't fast enough though and her claws caught it's tail feathers. The downed bird started it's attempted to fly away again and Orchidpaw furiously tried to capture it.
Coming now closer to camp but taking a detour to stop at the springs on the way back, Dusklion wasted no time in dunking her injured paw in the water. Immediate relief had the deputy purring, the warm water feeling good against her injury. A happy smile spread across her face as she soaked in the peaceful feeling.
A bird chirping nearby had her opening her eyes she hadn't realized she closed. Pulling her paw out of the water she took it off and padded closer to the tree. The bird was perched on a branch and peering down at her. It gave a little tweet to which Dusklion smirked and gave a hiss back, rearing up and slamming her claws against the trunk. Startled the bird flew off quickly, leaving Dusk to push back against the tree and land back on the ground laughing.
Everything seemed under control here. The small deputy gave a satisfied huff before turning around and trotting back towards the territory to head for camp once more.

Troutstone padded into the territory, tail flicking breezily behind him. He was happy that both his patrolmates had showed up- it had actually been him they had been waiting for. He was sure they would make fine warriors. When they arrived, Orchidpaw didn't wait for directions, and took off into the territory by herself. "Don't go too far!" He called out after her. With the Clan's relationships unstable as they were with the other Clans, who knew what could be lurking in the shadows? He shot his apprentice a purr and a nod, confident that they could hunt for themselves.
He crept off into the bush and started looking for prey. He returned shortly carrying two voles and a mouse in his jaws. He would wait for the apprentices to finish up, then lead them back to camp.

And now, it was time for the apprentice to begin their serach for prey. They slowly crept through the bushes, putting their eyes and ears onto work. Luckily for them, it wasn't too long until they found something. It was small, it looked kind of like a mouse, was that a vole? Yea, that probably was one. The apprentice stalked closer, pouncing on top of the vole. It let out a small squeak out, and that even surprised Sunsetpaw themself. It seems like it hurted, they've never really payed attention to it up until now. Kind of made them feel wrong, but the problem was they didn't really have a choice. The clan has to hunt prey to survive. As long as no one's being greedy with prey, it was surely fine?
But Sunsetpaw, it's not the time to contemplate about life. They continued onwards with their small hunt. After some walking around, they found their eyes on something feathered and two legged. Bird! So that means this could be the second bird they've ever caught? Pretty interesting how it happened in the same place. With a leap forward, they landed on top of the feathered flyer. That was two now, was that enough? It probably was, they weren't sure how long exactly they've been spending on their hunt. Now's probably a nice time to go back
----------------------
They walked back to the patrol, carrying the two prey with them. It....seems like Orchidpaw was still hunting. Well, the patrol could still wait
After a few minutes of a frustrated struggle, Orchidpaw finally mannage to kill the sparrow she had been hunting and hooked it with a sharp talon. Scruffy, battered and scrawny. S snarl escaped her throat as she stared at it with disapproving eyes. Ugh, now she'd look weak! 'Thanks a lot, you no good bird!' Angrily, she snapped up her prey and returned to the rest of her patrolmates.
Flitting through the shadows, she waited a moment before revealing herself behind them. The charcoal tabby point gave each of them a sharp glare before snarling. "Let's get going then!" With that she started to lead the way back to camp, the small bird hanging limply from her jaws.
Trekking through the territory with (hopefully) all of her group in tow, Dusklion slowed her pace as they approached the springs. "Grab whatever you can find - though leave at least one so that we don't run completely out." The deputy had remembered that advice from the times she had bugged their Clans old medicine cat for any sort of herb knowledge - before she had discovered that plants stunk and she didn't want to spend a lot of time around them. She glanced at the cats in her group before heading towards the more forested part of the springs, letting her jaws part to draw in the scents around her.
Near a clump of reeds jutting out from some rocks she discovered a patch of what appeared to fit the description for coltsfoot. Using her claw Dusk retrieved two of the three flowers, leaving the last one there.
Goldfish plodded after Dusklion. Nobody
In this Clan except Spotty, wherever she
Was, knew that she had seen Minks. Her
Kits definitely couldn't have. But she was
Dead set on telling Webs as soon as she
Felt Cobwebpaw could take the sting of
It. The sting of rejection. The bicolor was
Most certainly dead set on avoiding any
And all thoughts of Minkpaw on this patrol.
If only she could avoid them forever. That
Would solve some issues. Noting that the
Clan deputy left one coltsfoot sprig behind,
Goldfish didn't go towards it. How was the
Plant supposed to grow in this patch if there
Was no plant to grow, after all?
Turning to face a rock, Goldfish thoroughly
Inspected the possible cobweb holder. No
Cobwebs to be seen. Flipping the rock, on
The other paw, led to a disgusting and very
Unpleasant discovery. She had awoken an
Entire nest worth of ants. Jumping back to
Avoid a bite, she cursed quietly under her
Breath. Why did she always have to find the
Bugs? The biting bugs? Laughing softly, the
Warrior (queen?) Gave the rock, now covered
In ants, an indignant glare. "Starsdangit, do
I simply attract ants?" She grumbled, but she
Was smiling anyways. It was just ants, after all,
And she wasn't bitten either. She had a knack
Of disturbing ants as of late, it seemed. She gave
A tiny, amused grin.
Searching yet again, the molly discovered a
Rock with cobwebs instead of ants. Thank the
Stars! Still smiling slightly, Goldfish carefully
Removed the cobwebs and wrapped them
Around one paw dutifully. It wasn't much, but-
Oh! She had missed some. The scarred Molly
Quickly collected the remnants and wound the
Substance around one paw. Perfect.
