A shadowy figure sat on a branch of a gnarled tree, piercing blue eyes scanning the empty clearing before him. In his time spent traversing the dreams of the living, Nightwalker had learned that a lot of cats felt disconnected from StarClan. It seemed that the starry cats hadn't been doing their job of leading the living. For all the prophecies given, very little assistance was offered. Nightwalker could change that. He did not particularly care if the clans survived their ordeals, but he did admit that having cats to visit and torment provided excellent entertainment for him. And if he could amass a following... who knew how the balance would shift between StarClan and the Dark Forest.

So Nightwalker had sent out subtle feelers, catching on to cats who were struggling, who were resentful. Those made for the best pupils. A lot of them were in ShadowClan, funnily enough. And a good portion were related. Those cats sure did have fun, didn't they?

And so Nightwalker waited, his endless patience keeping him quiet and hidden as he waited to see if his influence had reached the right cat.

The world overtaking the landscape of her dreams was a strangely familiar one; only once had such spirit entered a dream of her own - manipulating it to its will - instead of using those sharp claws to pull her out of whatever nightmare she was having to walk their planes, such as now. It was gloomy and dark, as it had always been. Dried out and burned up brambles laced the surroundings, dead tree sticking out above them with such a putrid smell about this place that Sleepysunrise would nearly scrunch up her nose. But she knew she was being watched.

Though the youngest enforcer did not yet fully understand the meaning of this place, nor whether its plains lay in reality or fiction - the rational part of her wanting to bind this as being another awfully vivid dream, but its repetitive appearances and stories of the stars begging otherwise. Only, these were not the stars; this was a place of pain and misery, much like the working's of its inhabitants' minds. But what she had learned over these moons of repeated encounters, is that one never appeared here without reason. Without something or someone wanting to pull you out of your dreams and bring you into this realm of darkness; and she didn't mind.

"...What is it?"
Piercing blue eyes lead the turn of her head as she finally tore her gaze away from the overcast sky to further inspect her surroundings, feeling a pair of eyes on her - or perhaps it was merely her mind telling her as much, from experience. Regardless of what it was, Sleepysunrise was determined to find the source her being here, gaze trailing along the grounds and treeline, until...

Ah, there she was. Nightwalker watched as the young ShadowClan Enforcer turned in a slow circle, piercing eyes studying the landscape. The dead tom was struck with how similar they looked. It was almost funny, how she matched his pelt and eyes when his own children looked nothing like him. Though, she was sprinkled with white flecks and seemed to have little tabby markings, while he was pure dark grey with black stripes. Better than the worthless son and ungrateful daughter that had taken after their mother's coloring.

Her icy eyes locked on his own, her expression remaining stoic as she called out to him. Nightwalker smirked to himself, leaping down from his perch with a heavy thud. His muscled form rippled with shadows, the dark waters of the Dark Forest staining his paws no matter how many times he tried to clean them. "Hello." His voice rumbled like distant thunder over the dark clearing. "Welcome. I trust I do not need to explain where you are." He circled her slowly, keeping a respectful distance while scrutinizing her small form. "Most cats who come here are lacking something in the living world. Lacking skills they desire--skills that no one will teach them. Why the living feel the need to hide knowledge, I will never know." Cold amusement lilted his gruff voice.

"What knowledge do you desire that would bring you to the Dark Forest? How to enact vengence on those who have wronged you? Wronged your family? Clan?" Nightwalker paused in front of her, his sky-blue eyes lit with an internal fire. "How to make cats who deserve it hurt?"
