the swirled tabby she-cat perked up her ears at the sound of her name. her name! she would be mentoring an apprentice -- minnowpaw, was it? violetfreckle padded up closer to the streamstone with glee, her tail-tip twitching with poorly concealed excitement. ah, there! violetfreckle let out a soft purr as she greeted her new apprentice. "hello, minnowpaw! i promise to teach you all that i know so you become the best warrior you can," the pretty she-cat purred and touched her nose to minnowpaw's, before gesturing her to come sit with her if she wanted. there was more meeting, after all.

Amberpaw turned her head away from the announcement of death. It was inevitable and quite frankly, she was just tired. She yelled the apprentices names as loud as she could.

Lots of kit promotions. Gingerfrost fluffed up his pelt, less bothered by the promotions than he used to be. As an apprentice he needed to share a den with those promoted kittens who would presumably make a mess of it, now it just meant more apprentices who may or may not cause more trouble. Although, warriors seemed to be quite the trouble causers these days as well, even if finding trouble was still strongly led by the apprentices and even kits. Such an annoyance, couldn't have one calm and uneventful quarter moon. On the bright side the meeting seemed to be proceeding calmly now, it should stay that way. As was customary, the tom chanted the names along with the rest of the clan, albeit not as loud as some would (it was audible of course, raising his voice was just never his preference).

The kit- wait now apprentice smiled at his mentor, and waltzed over and for a moment, he thought he saw some flicker of emotion cross his new mentor's face. Deciding he was seeing things (Thanks to the lack of sleep due to excitment) he brushed it off and bounced happily around slightly.

The calico had been standing for a while when she spotted Slatestripe. At first, he seemed to be thinking. That was fine! Cats deserved time to think to themselves. Autumnpaw knew she surely enjoyed her times to think. But when his attention turned to her, she grinned. Yay! He'd spotted her! As he made his way to her, she walked toward him too. He greeted her and bent down. What was happening again? She hesitated. Oh! She had to touch noses with him! That made enough sense. She raised her head to touch his nose with a happy smile.

[If this is inaccurate, I'm sorry. I kinda threw this together >w<]

Slatestripe held back a chuckle at how his new apprentice seemed a little overwhelmed - in a good way - by everything. He was looking forward to sharing everything he knew with her. “I’ll train you to be one of the best warriors in the Clan!” he proudly proclaimed. A tall order, but he felt he could do it.

“The first thing we should do is tour the territory,” he went on after a moment. “Do you feel rested enough for that?” The last thing he wanted was her falling behind and getting lost.

She smiled and tried to hide her excitement. Oh, she was so ready for this! And he was going to make her the best warrior out there? Amazing! With a big A! She felt her pelt fluff up in her happiness. Yes, yes, yes! She loved her mentor already. And he brought up a tour? That was double awesome!

I'm fine, I slept allllll night! We can go after the meeting, can't we? she asked, making pleading eyes. Oh please, please! She wanted to get out of camp so bad!

Slatestripe watched the apprentice’s demeanor brighten by about tenfold at his comments. Yes, she was going to be a fun cat to train. Slatestripe looked forward to watching her grow into a skilled, strong warrior.

He glanced over his shoulder, back at Mintpaw. He really felt he should speak with her. He had to make sure the shy cat was going to be okay with Fawnleap. Slatestripe was really the only cat besides her mother that she seemed close to. He also wanted to make sure she wasn’t mad at him or at Pikestar for making Fawnleap her mentor.

He glanced back at Autumnpaw. “I must speak with one of your denmates, and then we’ll get started with your territory tour. Wait here until I’m done.”

At that, he briskly walked toward Mintpaw.
