One could say she got lucky to not lay witness to such a bloody sight outside in the clearing. The only thing she had seen was the mass of cats gathering in the center along with the screaming and was that the scent of blood in the air? Sunkit was at the entrance of the nursery, poking her fluffy head out as she was curious. She was so confused about what was going on until she heard someone yell out big leader bum and someone screaming mom. The whole ordeal left her rattled and quite frankly scared, she wanted mommy or daddy, whoever would come. This was too scary she thought everyone was supposed to be nothing but happiness and not this sad stuff! The carbon copy of lioncrest shook in her little hidey hole in the den as she looked out for her parents. Immediately it didn't take long for the young kit to spot her daddy's big form to come sauntering the den and to their family nest. It also didn't take long for the fluff ball of a kit to come flying out of her spot and into her daddy for some comfort. "Daddy! What going on?! why are others calling out big leader bums name?" she whined.
Brindlekit was confused. Confused and scared and not at all interested in going back out into the clearing. His attempt to be brave and deal with it had ended in abject failure, because a warrior had shepherded him back into the nursery almost immediately. This course of events was almost certainly for the best, as he had been spared Bumblestar´s dramatic, invisible death and the return of her and Violetfreckle. As it was he was still quite terrified, and made a beeline for Lioncrest as soon as he saw him. He wasn't going to admit that he was so alarmed (especially with the energy Sunkit seemed capable of displaying rather than the quiet shock he was in) but he was also going to bodily crawl under Lioncrest´s fluff, burying himself almost entirely in the soft fur. Both mom and dad were fluffy, and it made it much easier to disappear from the world for a little while if he felt like it. Which he felt like at the moment. So poof, off into the fur he went, probably visible to the outside world but not capable of seeing it, so for his intents and purposes the only thing that existed was the calming sounds of his father´s breathing and heartbeat, and maybe a bit of his whining sister. @Jayvines

Scrambling over, she (very unsteadily) maneuvered around the other den's occupants bodies. It seemed a few of his children needed assurance. First Sunkit and Brindlekit had zipped towards him (both practically burrowing into his pelt) with some... expected but unfortunate questions, and then his little Swan had toddled over to join the cuddle. Brows furrowed in concern as he observed the cough and unsteadiness that seemed to impede her movements. He would need to speak with Drizzlecloud about that sooner rather than later... Perhaps once the events in the clearing were settled. No kit of his was going to end up a victim of illness, or stars forbid whitecough, if he could help it.
Clearing his throat, he flicked his tail around Swankit to bundle them closer into the cuddle puddle before responding.
"Bumblestar," he corrected, voice rumbling softly as he leaned down to place a comforting lick on each of his kit's heads. "Just preformed a very honorable act. Starclan granted our leader, Bumblestar, nine lives so she could protect us and lead our clan to great heights."
"Sometimes, a leader looses a life when they sustain an injury or sickness that would normally be too great for one cat to endure. What would normally send a warrior to Starclan's ranks is able to be endured and overcome with their blessing, but they are only gifted 9 of those chances. Bumblestar made a choice to sacrifice one of those chances so that our clanmate, Violetfreckle, would be able to continue their warrior path."
Was he explaining this adequately? He certainly hoped so, but he paused to place a few more grooming licks on each of his children so they would be able to interrupt with questions before he continued.

Brindlekit felt.....a bit better. Lioncrest´s fur was cozy and soft, and the heartbeats of his siblings along side his own aided in calming him down. It was fine. No one was dead. Everyone was fine. Violetfreckle (that must be the she-cat´s name) and Bumblestar were fine, and Bumblestar had lots more chances to live. Though, of course, this explanation begged the question. Why.....why did Violetfreckle get attacked? I didn´t.... Brindlekit struggled somewhat to articulate his thoughts. Camp is safe. Right? It was supposed to be, he was fairly certain of that. That´s why HE was in camp, with his siblings. Because that was where mom was, and dad, where they came back to. And it was a safe place, because otherwise mom and dad wouldn´t keep them there. Surely. But Violetfreckle had been attacked in camp. In the clearing. There was BLOOD in the clearing, and not just that of prey, long cold. Fresh, and even his small, untrained nose could smell it even inside the nursery. It was a scary thought. A scary scent. Brindlekit was not a fan. He had no intention of emerging from his father´s fur, at least not until he had been reassured that the camp was nice and safe. @Jayvines

Pinekit was getting restless, bored as she couldn’t seem to find anything to do. She was pacing around aimlessly, looking for something, anything, to do. The ginger tabby’s fluffy coat had a few leaves in it from playing just outside the nursery, but then it got a bit too cold for her liking so she retreated back inside. She flopped down on the ground with a huff, convinced she would die of boredom, until a new thought hit her and she was back on her paws. Wait a minute, she had a sister to play with! But… where was her sister?
“Mantiskit! Where are you?” Pinekit called, padding around as she looked around for her littermate.
