“Alright,” the smoke tabby she-cat agreed. She crouched, building her strength in her haunches, tail acting as a counterbalance. She leapt powerfully, her hind legs acting like springs—however, she achieved height, not distance. She leapt roughly four feet in the air but barely travelled three. She hissed in frustration, sinking her claws into the fallen leaves, “Mouse dung!” @gs29513

She had power, but she wasn't getting distance. If she was going after a low flying bird, it would have been dead by now, but not a bird pecking on the ground. Still, she definitely had the power. Moving towards her, Fleetwind mewed a bit contemplatively Could you try....looking straight ahead. He had seen her eyes slide up, and he thought it might be what had affected her trajectory. He wasn't sure if such a simple fix would be sufficient, but it might be worth a try. @Larkstripe

Falconpaw concentrated on Fleetwind’s instructions, and swallowed her frustration, retreating to the line in the sand. She reoriented herself, crouching low and shifting her weight to her hind legs. She fixed her eyes forward, and in a blur of smoky fur, launched herself forward, forepaws tucked to her chin, tail trailing behind her. The apprentice overshot her mark by about a tail length, landing squarely. Had there been quarry in front of her, it wouldn’t have stood a chance. She couldn’t hide her satisfaction, lemon yellow eyes gleaming with pride. There was something...intense about the young she-cat. She was obsessed with precision.

The Tuxedo had silently made his way through the Territory, unsure of what really to say to his sister. He couldn't really say congrats...she didn't want it. Couldn't say sorry for the luck, she liked thinking she was in control. So frankly, the Warrior just simply gave her a smile. "I'm sure you'll do wonderful." he hummed, wiggling his nose as a raindrop fell on it.

As if the Bog itself wasn't humid enough, it went ahead and started raining as well. "You know. Maybe it's not so bad? Great way to get more experience and..well as long as you have fun with it, yea?" he speculated. Surely she could think of some positive side to all of it. Something.

“Nice kill Fishfin. And your really quick.”, she mewed complimenting him hoping he might take notice on that. She said “My turn now”, then went out and found a chubby mouse under close to a tree. The mouse didn’t notice her until it was too late and the mouse died within seconds. Not a single squeal came from the mouse. @gs29513 (sorry a little bit late)

Kicking his stone to the general position of the landing spot, Fleetwind mewed positively Good job Falconpaw! Why don't you try and identify some prey and have a go? She had the crouch down, she had told him she'd practiced stalking, she had plenty of power in her leap. If there was an issue that he identified immediately they could work on that, but the warrior thought that it was about time he got her hunting. He could scent a mouse in the bushes a few foxlengths away, but he was sure there were some other prey animals around if she took a fancy to them. Still, the mouse would probably be the easiest, since it was one of the stupidest animals in the forest. @Larkstripe

Thank you. Fishfin nodded, pleased at the compliment. Watching her kill the mouse cleanly, he mewed But YOU'RE even faster! He didn't want to catch anything else just yet, he wanted to enjoy the air. It was cool yes, but the leaves swirling were beautiful, so he paused a moment, batting almost absentmindedly at them. @Falco

She blushed and purred sweetly, “Your too kind Fishfin. Hey Fishfin do you wanna just sit here and chat in the nice wind?”, he’s so sweet and funny too. Seeing him batting at the falling leaves made her tail flick with amusement. @gs29513

She honestly expected him to say something about her outburst at the gathering or something, but he was silent.

Darkfire winded through the trees, leading the way a while away from camp to a small clearing. He stopped and flicked his tail. "How's this?" he asked, turning to Lionpaw for approval. He walked across the clearing. There was enough room for jumping and running. He eyed the trees, trying to figure out if they would be more of a hindrance or if they could be useful...

It seemed that every clan just so happened to have random clearings littering their forests. While that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, the former loner found it a bit unusual. His old home had been incredibly dense when it came to trees per bound, however, so perhaps that was just his opinion.

"You're the warrior. It's your choice," the golden feline dared to tease, somewhat amused that anyone would want his approval. "But yeah, this is perfect," he amended. Unaware of Darkfire's comfort level in being a higher rank than him as he was, he wanted to push on those boundaries to test things out.

Lionpaw didn't hide the way that he scanned the treetops. Another thing about his unorthodox skillset was his ability to climb. It came instinctually to him; all he needed to know was which direction to leap in. His paws, legs, and tail did the rest.
