rookfire rolled his shoulders, testing how much of a fight his injured shoulder still put up and noting exactly what he had expected, tense resistance and a sharp flaring of pain. however, with the sun burning down on dark pelt and silver eyes trained on the clearing any lingering pain or complaint went unheard, especially when he spotted magpiepaw marching in circles and birdpaw approaching the other apprentice to do the same. he wouldve almsot thought this to be a new game he just never seen before, if not for magpiepaws upset expression and the painful lack of conversation between the two.
the few foxlenghts towards them briefly made the enforcer reconsider his choices as heat blistered pads ached with every step, yet, he wasnt even sure when that had happened, and honestly one ought to notice something like that if not anything else. "what're you two up to?" rookfire enquired upon arrival, head cocked to the side slightly.

Apprentices coming up to Mistlewhisker was something the deputy was used to. Training, questions, requests for patrols, etcetera. What she wasn’t used to was apprentices coming up to her, handing her a rock and staring at her expectantly. Mistlewhisker studied the small, round, gold-flecked black rock Gutspaw had placed at her paws. Oh. Interesting. She sniffed it, turning it over and watching the little flecked twinkle in the sunlight. “Thank you, Gutspaw.” She finally meowed, meeting the apprentice’s intense gaze. “Is this a gift or the beginnings of a favor request?” Accepting gifts was… difficult to say the least. Everything had a motive behind it, benign or otherwise. It was partially the reason she rarely gave gifts herself unless they were prey or acts of service. Even still, Mistlewhisker would tuck this away into her nest later amongst the old fox pelt that still lined the moss. It was, admittedly, a very nice rock.

Gutspaw was fifteen moons and yet still was an apprentice. It was awkward and rather embarrassing. A deadline was ticking, it was becoming restless for more knowledge. It could hunt, fight, stalk through the shadows - but somehow bite hadn't entered into the territory of being worthy of a warrior name. Which meant more training, or somethin'. It was sure it could go to Mistlewhisker but - Gutspaw heard rumors that a certain enforcer knew how to swim.
And not only how to swim, but how to hunt in water. Which wasn't exactly a skill set all ShadowClanners possessed. Besides, fish had rather pretty scales and it was interested in grabbing a few for its collection.
The apprentice glanced around the clearing, icy irises scanning for the dark gray tom. At least he was only a little bit older than Gutspaw. Once teeth caught sight of Rookfire, it trotted over.
"Yo!" It mewed, attempting to snag his attention from whatever he was doing. Cocking its head to the side, "Quick question. You know how to swim?"
Tigerpaw sat down and looked around for someone to talk to.

the small dwarf cat named Elderberry popped his head out of the warriors den and stretched his short legs out before noticing Tigerpaw. "Good Morning" He meowed with a dip of his as he paddled over to the apprentice.
Tigerpaw turned to Elderberry. "Good morning Elderberry." she mewed respectfully. Tigeroaw stood up and stretched before sitting right back down. "So hows warrior life treating you?" she mewed curiously. @Toya Todoroki

Why do i care so much about people who don't care about me?
With his eyes half opened, Palekit stumbles into camp clearing trying to find something to do. There's only half a moon before Palekit turns 6 moons old and the little furball was getting a little too big and loud for the nursery. Despite Palekit having a soft voice, his non stop chattering and questions is probably loud enough to drive Nightshiver and the rest of the queens insane. Outside of pestering the warriors and apprentices of ShadowClan about the outside world, Palekit is lacking the activity to do. After moons of pouncing around the camp, Palekit has surely memorized the whole camp's layout. His explorations already led him to ventured to every nook and cranny ShadowClan camp had to offer.
There was no where to go in camp and it seemed like everyone was busy one way or the other. Palekit's mind drifted off while staring at the little ants on the ground. His pale blue eyes followed the little ants slowly to the entrance of their home. 'They must be carrying food back home...'
Palekit can't wait for the day he's able to go out and bring back prey for his clan. He's sure he'll become a great hunter one day and be able to bring lots of prey back. Before he can do all that, he'd have to learn.
yellowtwist stared at the entrance to camp and shoomy swears she'll make a good post eventually she just doesnt have time right now!

"Tomatoes are in the same family as some of the world's deadliest poisons. That just goes to show how rebellious tomatoes are." "What about how the apple can fall far from the tree?" "No, sometimes the tomato falls from the plant."
Palekit yawned and stretched his little paws in the comfort of the nursery. Yawning and slightly mumbling after a good nap. Something was not right. He had definitely forgotten something. Perhaps he was too tired jumping around that he really had forgotten something extremely important.
'What could it be?' Palekit couldn't think of any task he had forgotten to do that day, until suddenly a voice came calling from the clearing for Palekit to come out.
"Eh? Yes?" Palekit padded out of the nursery as fast as can. There in front of him was gray she-cat with foggy amber eyes. "Ah! The medicine cat?!"
That's right, he had forgotten. Though a little forgetful, Palekit had loved learning and he was always to learn more. This time his interest lay in the herbs in the medicine cat den. Different kind with all sort of colours and smell. If Palekit could just learn a tiny little bit, he would.
Palekit had nodded eagerly, "Yes! I-I've always wanted to know what those plants were in the medicine cat den!"
"Which one will we learn first?" Palekit looked up, awaiting curiously to hear more.
[ Lostspark @Rose | haha no worries! take your time ]
Lostspark blinked down at the almost-apprentice as he came plodding out of the nursery, a wide yawn splitting his maw. "I'm not the Medicine Cat. I used to be, now I'm an Enforcer. Mossfreckle was my Medicine Cat Apprentice." The lithe grey enforcer said as she led Palekit to a corner of the clearing, where it was emptier. And where she'd already lined up a couple things to go over, except she'd hidden it so no stray passerbys would... eat the deathberry.
"Sit, we'll begin in a moment - we'll be going over what never to eat first." Once he'd settled, she began. "Some herbs can kill even a fully grown cat. But that's only if you eat the wrong things without checking with someone, so don't go about doing that." She paused. Exhaled. "Here is a deathberry." She brandished the red berry at her paws. "Deathberries are highly poisonous - hence, the name. I know they may look like something that is edible but they are not, they can kill a cat in seconds."
"Next, we have deadly nightshade. Or just nightshade. It has distinctive vivid purple flowers with erect yellow centers and once the blooms die the wilted buds form dark almost black berries that stick out from a star shaped flower looking bit that attaches them to the stem of the plant. Similar to Deathberries, Nightshade kills very quickly so it’s better to leave it be, cats will usually present usual signs such as gagging and vomiting and will be dead within a matter of minutes."
She leveled a stern gaze towards the youngster. "I am telling you this so I have two less potential deaths on my paws. If I find you've used this knowledge for purposes other than to help, there will be consequences. Any questions before I move on?"
Springburst Nobody got you the way I do + she/her + Beefed up T2-Lyrebirds-Shadow fiend
Right as she was to assume this was who she thought it was, it hadn't taken her long to recognize an old clanmate. Springburst had made it her little goal to know every clanmate's name and appearance. Having been born in Riverclan she had felt it was a duty of hers to know everyone it was only the right thing to do. Minkpaw who was now Rookfire was one of the said clanmates from then, even if they had left the clan. Unlike Fadingsun, she did not think so lowly of those who left she had no ounce of blame in her. Watching that crazed cat handle troublemakers and how he had handled the dusklion situation. Spring might of wanted to slap a few of said troublemakers but in no way did she ever aim to maim them before killing them. She might not have been there physically to watch as Fogmuzzle got handled but she sure did hear all the talk about it so it wasn't a secret to be kept. "You could try to blend in all ya want and hide from the others, but I can recognize an old clanmate when I see 'em" she smirked her own as she took a seat somewhat in front of Rookfire.
As much as she would love to have a spar with the other, she wasn't fully healed just yet to do so. Her right leg wasn't as bad as it was from the start but it wasn't fully capable yet for her to be doing any crazy stunts. All she could do for now was just normal walking around and probably light work is what she guessed. Her plans after her little talk here were to go visit this Mossfreckle and get her arm checked out. She was sure it wasn't infected and was well on its way to healing, considering that Wither had checked it out herself. "How ya been so far here in shadowclan?" she assumed it was going good judging on looks. No one around seemed like they were angry or were ready to tear someone's neck out. God she still remembered all the tension that was felt back in riverclans camp, her entire life there was stressful.
rookfire gave springburst a shrug, "can hardly say im the same cat that turned his back to riverclan" the reply came colder than intended, snuffing out the easy atmosphere the other feline seemed to have aimed for. yet, it was true, he carried a different name, rank and felt like a new person overall. otherwise, whilst he couldnt really keep track of that well, he was pretty sure he had grown considerably -and maybe earned a bit of white pelt that had previously been grey - since coming here, as well. "dawnstar knows how to lead a clan if thats what youre getting at, none of the fadingsun nonsense. otherwise..shadowclan has been good..great. im an enforcer and finally finished training which was pretty easy with mentors that dont slack on training their apprentices." perhaps he should chill with the riverclan hate but they were both here for the same reason, and if springburst was to become a proper shadowclan warrior she would have to take riverclan slander, if not, well he wouldnt mind watching a execution.
silver eyes wandered over the other cats form, while rook felt like he was healing well, with one ear less and a considerable amount of wounds still fresh and pink, and feeling less dead than he had after the thunderclan raid on riverclan, springburst didnt look the best "did you see mossfreckle for the injuries?" rookfire nodded towards springbursts foreleg, question more so a silent suggestion to tell him more rather than actual concern for the others well being.
[ pardon for the short reply but i dont think i'll reply if i try for longer haha ]
