The white cat yawned as they padded up to OwlFeather [ @Hopeless ] to make their patrol report. WhiteRose had had a long hunting patrol, due to the twolegs, and now night was beginning to fall upon the pine forest.*


"Hey OwlFeather, I'm here for the report." they said as they sat down about a tail length away from the tabby. jeeze if I was an apprentice I would be pretty intimidated by her WhiteRose thought as they realised how large the she-cat was next to themself. They hadn't really spoken with the tabby much before but they had seen her around camp, so WhiteRose didn't really know what to think of OwlFeather just yet.


WhiteRose winced as they realised they had paused for too long and started to make the patrol report. "So- um- both WebThroat and Ryepaw didn't show up, I looked around the entire camp but couldn't find them, I ended up doing the patrol by myself. When I was out I was about to catch a rabbit but then it got spooked, turns out four twolegs were stomping around the forest yowling at each other. I followed them to the edge of the forest and then waited to see if they would return, which they did not. I did end up catching a rabbit as well as bringing back another rabbit that I caught before the twolegs came" Was that enough? Should I not have told her that WebThroat and Ryepaw didn't show up..? I don't want them to get punished.. the white cat wondered and shuffled their paws nervously.

entering camp, the warrior padded towards owlfeather. "everything went well on the patrol, riverclan didn't cause any problems." marshwolf reported. "..there was a frozen mouse in the river, but considering I didn't know how long it'd been dead and I didn't want to risk anyones safety going over the ice - i chose to leave it."

The dark tom padded in through the camp entrance, his ears back irritably. His mind circled around what to do about his apprentice. She'd held a decent amount of promise in their first training session as a stealthy and intelligent future warrior but recently her motivation was growing more concerning. Elmshadow couldn't imagine that she'd given up on even wanting to become a warrior but her lack of drive was making him rethink her commitment. He took a deep breath, ducking his head slightly as he approached Owlfeather. They were currently of equal rank but Elmshadow felt obligated to show her the respect now that he knew he never showed her when she had been entitled to it; he was not an ornery apprentice and had always respected authority but his mind had been swayed as a young tom to see her as a lesser mentor.

He glanced up and noticed Marshwolf and Whiterose had already returned. Bitterwish hadn't made it back yet, another Thunderclan patrol that was left potentially questionable. "There's not much happening on the Windclan border. Actually I noticed the scent was rather stale on their side. As for Juniperpaw and Sharppaw, their contribution was...disappointing. I've instructed Juniperpaw to keep her paws out of the freshkill pile after she carelessly scared off a rabbit. I'll have to see to getting on Sharppaw a bit more with her training." He realized he'd been less adamant with Sharppaw than he had been with Needlepaw before she'd disappeared. The responsibilities of keeping watch over the camp and shutting down the rebellion had left him with less time to demand the strive for perfection of his apprentice. He'd make sure that would change moving forward.

The large molly stalked back to camp with the bird hanging in her jaws. It was heavy, but she was used to carrying large prey, and she was sure it would feed quite a few cats in her clan. As for how the patrol had gone, Ashpaw had been a little slow here and there but had at least arrived, unlike Neddlepaw, who was nowhere to be seen. It was a shame cats couldn't bother showing up, not as uncommon for apprentices she supposed, but disappointing still. Though, as she listened into the reports that trickled in, it seem more cats hadn't bothered showing up. Webthroat and Ryepaw, well, she would keep the names in good mind. The patrol she had sent to Thunderclan was also missing, so she would have to see about that.

Patrol leaders who fail to report and warriors who do not show up will face punishment by Owlfeather, Elmshadow, or Dawnstar. If you can give me an OOC reason for your cat not showing up on their patrol before the due date you will be excused from the patrol. Inform me and request extra time on your patrol if it takes longer than you expected.

The last round of patrols had gone.. decently enough. Some members had failed to show their faces, and he believed one patrol had gone unfinished, but with some of the more competent warriors away, she supposed that was what she had to expect from the cats she had left.

"Gingercry, lead a patrol with Shadowpaw and Snowpaw to the Thunderclan border wasn't marked last time, so make sure you do a good job." It irritated her that a whole patrol had gone unfurnished, but that couldn't be helped now, hopefully these patrol cats would be better.

"Rainysky, take Sharkpaw to the Riverclan border." The last patrol there had included her niece, partly for experience for Nettlepaw, partly to keep things in check, but a patrol should go well even without her, even though due to the lack of good warriors around she couldn't place more cats on the patrols.

"Elmshadow, see how the Windclan border. Duskflare will make your company." Two cats, but Elmshadow was one of them so she trusted the patrol would at least be completed regardless.

"Crowblaze, you'll come hunting with me." Usually she would place three cats on a patrol, but when she was the cat leading it she was much more confident having just one other cat around, instead of two, one of her patrol mates hadn't even showed up last time.

"Pineclaw, lead a hunting patrol with Echosky" She had caught a jackdaw last time, but the clan would still need more prey.

At the sound of his name, Crowblaze hastily made his way over. Apparently it was Owlfeather. To him, it seemed like Dawnstar was heavily considering making the molly the next deputy of ShadowClan. It seemed that Shadestorm was losing the leaders trust. "I'm here," he meowed gruffly, nodding to his clanmate. He was certainly ready for a patrol - he hadn't been assigned to one in quite a bit.

Gingercry stretched tenderly as he walked out of the warrior's den. He stroked his tongue over his thick orange fur a few times before he heard Owlfeather call his name. Patrols. He smiled as he approached the other warrior. "Why, of course. A nice stroll through the woods is exactly what I need." He laughed lightly and sat down to wait for Shadowpaw and Snowpaw.

After assigning the patrols she leaped down, looking around for Crowblaze, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the cat she had picked as her patrol mate she was already there, quicker than the rest. She nodded shortly and turned without a word towards the entrance, and the hunting place she had picked out.

Snowpaw slipped out of the apprentice's den after having changed the moss for the nests, quickly bounding over to her waiting patrol. Though she only noticed one cat. Oh well.
