Cranewhisper nodded as the other cat left.
Yes, she was obviously excited for her first litter, but she was not excited for the process of them coming into the world.
To take her focus off the pain as she breathed, she decided to talk to Jaggedkit.
“Jaggedkit, are you excited for siblings?” She asked, though her words a bit strained.

Firewhisper runs back into the nursery " I just told the medicine cat would you like me to try and take your mind off the pain, I don't know what it feels like because I have not had kits yet but I'm sure I can take your mind off it if you'd like?" Firewhisper said nervously.

Maggotkit sits in the nursery's mouth and screams as loud as it can. It's not in pain or anything, despite what the banshee-wail implies. Its expression is wide-eyed, sticky face turned to Frogkit and the clump of moss she's found just beyond the nursery's opening.

Oh. It heard Frogkit cry out and decided to do that, too. That's what this is.

Maggotkit shuts up quickly, gasping for air before snapping its mouth shut with a hard clack. It's still watching Frogkit like it's waiting for her to do more.

"You're loud."

"You're loud," it repeats. "Like 'AAAH.' That's you." Maggotkit blinks. Its eyes are still kit-blue, but they've got a coldblooded focus to them even now, like a lizard behind glass.

"You have to be nice to the other kits." It repeats what the older cat nearby is saying but otherwise doesn't pay them any mind because its focus is on Frogkit and that's that. "Be nice to me," it asks. "Right now. Say something nice."

"I'll tell you if you say something nice." It digs its heels into that point and sits down with a naughty little grin, like it knows it's being difficult. And it does, of course. "You gotta be nice. The warrior said. So be nice to me."
